Not sure if this is the correct board to post it in, but here in Bangladesh I'm receiving the Indian feed of Discovery Kids. The channel is OK, they don't overplay stuff and has a few programmes but it's not the best in the world.

I remember in the UK there was Discovery Kids but it got discontinued a long time back.

The show that's being played in the picture below is called Chimpui.

I used to watch the U.S. channel before it was replaced by The Hub. I think all I ever watched regularly were their cartoons (or Real Toons as they were called) and Ready, Set, Learn. I do remember watching an episode of Bindi the Jungle Girl, but I think that was it as far as their live action shows go. It's been quite a while since I've seen any of their shows so I'm not sure how they'd hold up, though Discovery Family has Kenny the Shark On Demand (I wonder if that has anything to do with Shark Week) and I've been meaning to take a look at that. I hope they add Time Warp Trio at some point. That was my favorite DK show and I want to see how that holds up.

Well, it was the channel that became The Hub. It's a shame that the UK version didn't continue to exist enough to become The Hub.

I watched the NBC block on Saturday mornings way back and I would occasionally watch the channel up until it became The Hub. I remember being a bit upset when I first saw it was going to be squashed to make a Hasbro channel, but I was very upset when The Hub became Discovery Family, so I guess it all evens out.

I used to watch the channel all the time, especially when it was becoming the Hub.
You mean Nature Cat? Here it airs on PBS.

I turned to DK sometimes but none of the shows I liked, other than Trading Spaces and Magic School Bus but I did however watch the Hub more before that shut down.

I used to watch Darcy's Wild Life, Endurance, Hi-5, Hip Hop Harry, Kenny the Shark, The Magic School Bus, Peep and the Big Wide World, Trading Spaces: Boys vs. Girls, and Tutenstein.

Looking at this list of shows, it was certainly more important to my childhood than I realized. Much better lineup than Discovery Family.

The only Discovery Kids shows I remember liking were Flight 29 Down, Grossology, and, to a lesser extent, Kenny the Shark.

It's interesting that Discovery didn't give its international kids channels to the Hasbro partnership, thus forcing Hasbro Studios to make its own programming deals in certain markets (though Hasbro shows air on Dfam Latin America).

I remember Discovery Kids before it turned into The Hub in 2010. Most of their shows are pretty great back then like Tutenstein, Time Warp Trio, Kenny The Shark, Growing Up Creepie and The Future Is Wild. I also remember watching Magic School Bus when I was up at 3:00 in the morning. Good times, good times. I think Discovery Familia has their own preschool version of Discovery Kids in the morning.

Grossology, Growing Up Creepie, and The Future is Wild were my best exposure to this former channel - most of the other shows were pretty much forgettable to me.
