    The Plot Thickens

As someone somewhere else pointed out, it is kind of odd getting this dynamic duo a year before we're introduced to the "real deal".

I'm not sure by what you mean by "a year before the real deal"?

I think he means the real Miles and Ganke dynamic/relationship, which is obviously being mimicked in Homecoming with Peter and "Ned Leeds."

They also have a co-director, the dude who did Rise of the Guardians. Was that any good?

Certainly the right director to have if you're doing a Spider-Man project.

"We were on the scene at the SPA campus in Culver City, California this morning and were treated to a brief Spider-Man tease that showed off some concept art and a graffiti-styled red and blue spider logo."

I liked it a lot myself. I watched it one Christmas with my family, and an action/adventure film starring a superteam of characters from children's folklore was a nice alternative to the usual holiday fare. I can't think of anything I'd say I disliked about it honestly. It's a shame it didn't attract the audience it could have. I liked the designs and thought the action sequences were really well, so I'd have no problem with the guy who directed that being on board with this. I don't know much about him but I do remember he was featured in a laptop ad or something else.

He did a great job in Ultimate Spider-Man. While I'd be fine if they get someone else to voice Miles Morales, it would be great for Glover to reprise the role.

    Hmm...

I thought it was a pretty fun, action-packed, feature myself. I can definitely see his experience in that movie lending well to handling Spidey (especially given how they handled Jack Frost in the movie) ;).

[IMG] What I thought of was the retro, four color comic look with heavily inked lines but that's probably not what they meant.

Probably. I was confused because there's a vast number of comics with various art styles so it is kinda vague and hard to picture. Plus this this this is gonna be 3d animated feature so I'm even more curious on how that looks.

I saw the footage and designs. It was heavily shaded, but the colors were really dynamic and eye-popping. At times it looked a little neon-ish.

It did have the traditional red and blue costume and not Miles' black and red outfit.

Thanks for the info. This movie seems like it has a unique look compared to say Big Hero 6.

Well these were just early animation tests and not the final product. By comparison, I would say similar to the design style of this game, but maybe with heavier mix of shading and shadows.

Miles originally wore a red and blue outfit for his first few issues before getting the black suit so it's likely referencing that.

I'm wondering if this also means he's wearing it to honor a fallen Peter Parker, as he did in the comics o_O?

This didn't look anything like that. It looked like a Peter Parker costume than Miles' proto costume.
