It actually happened on March 20th.

Interesting. I didn't even hear about it until just yesterday.

    Well...damn.

I guess this means no more custom DVDs as well.

I'm glad I got my Space Ghost: Coast to Coast vol. 4 and 5 DVDs when I did.

A silver lining, though: SGC2C (and probably other AS shows, I haven't checked) are available to buy on iTunes. In SG's case, they have all the way through the final season. Previously, they only had a few random episodes.

So does this mean [as] isn't going to release a lot of merch anymore? I can't imagine them stopping dvd releases at the very least.

DVD releases will not stop. As for merch... Perhaps we'll see a revamped store in the future but for now we can't buy any (unless you venture through eBay).

    Well, crap.

There goes any chance I ever had to own Space Ghost: Coast to Coast Volumes 4 and 5 for less than 100 each used.

I really should have bought them when I had the chance!

Ditto. I ordered mine a month or two before it was shut down. Talk about cutting it close.

This is a bummer. The custom DVD shop had a bunch of Space Ghost eps that were omitted from the DVD's for various reasons (and uncensored versions of others.)

You could probably get them on iTunes cheaper...

Oh yes! The custom DVDs were very much overpriced.

Not the original full-length Fire Ant or Warren!

    Plus there's all those extras....

I think that the full-length Fire Ant was on the season 5 or whatever set. At the very least it had like 10 minutes of space ghost following an ant or whatever.

That's what I get for procrastinating for a million years on the custom DVDs. Yes, yes, iTunes, blah blah blah, but that's far less ideal for me for a ton of reasons. But at least I got Space Ghost 4 and 5, 12 oz. Mouse, those lovely pint glasses from a while back, and so on. So I guess I'll just continue keeping The Xtacles on my DVR for, like, ever. (Man, I'll be unhappy if I ever have to swap that box out for some reason.)

Hey, I'd rather have a physical copy of a film too. But iTunes is better than nothing, so it was worth bringing up.
