Some people over at the AS.com boards are saying that Comcast now has an AS section on their Video OnDemand thingie under 'Cutting Edge,' however no programming is available.

Anyone have Comcast and VoD and care to check?

We have Time Warner, and all they have listed unded CNoD is just CN and Boomerang stuff.

It's on my service, but nothing's listed.

    There's stuff coming, I'm sure.

I don't have Comcast but I checked my VOD just to be sure and I had a new "Adult" selection. I clicked it and some of the results were:

    All Girl Action
Asian Fever (vols 11 and 12)
    Ebony Tales
    Fetish 3
    Hooking

That is probably not Adult Swim.

One wonders why Adult Swim should be on demand. Then again you can get Eastenders on PPV now, so why do I bother asking.

    Adult Swim ON DEMAND?

I was checking out my ON DEMAND menu when I noticed a choice name "Adult Swim." I checked it out, but it was empty. I'm wondering if this is for real and WS has made [as] ON DEMAND, or I stumbled upon a new aquatic porn channel. Can anyone confirm this?

Looks that way...at least eventually. I fished around and found this snippet.

You have to subscribe to read the entire article, but here is the link anyway.

I guess this is their retaliation against the Anime Network...

I don't even get On Demand...I have regular cable with only 85 channels and one scrambled porn channel...

Isn't on demand exactly like PPV, but they charge your cable bill instead of a separate payment?

We get several OnDemand channels free with the HD cable box. Including TechTV, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, BBC America, and several others.

Not exactly. The Adult Swim VOD will fall under the "free" option like Anime Network and some of the other channels that have been mentioned.

Plus, Gigan, you have to have a box to do the on demand stuff. That's how you order it. If you just have a cable line directly to your TV, you can't access it. You need the box to access those features, even if you only have basic cable.

I have Comcast, but the only anime available for On Demand is Anime Network.

That's interesting. I also discovered something just a couple days ago. I don't know if you all know this but:

I got downloaded WinAMP MP3 player to listen to internet music. I clicked on a "internet tv" and I discovered that they were playing some of the AS originals and anime. There was a server to watch aqua teen hunger force and other AS originals and cowboy bebop. The anime that was playing Naruto, Love Hina, and Hellsing.

And you probably also noticed a few dozen porn stations, right?

Winamp TV is basically a listing of all sorts of internet streams run by various people with too much time on their hands. These stations are in no way official. I could run one and air whatever video files I had, assuming I wanted to use the bandwith to do so.

Interesting... I suggested this on the board and they deleted my thread...

Heh heh... I guess now those Inu-heads can watch their Inuyasha any time they want... unless of course it's not in the package in which case no doubt there will be much ranting until it's added.

And I've just got to say it now... WHERE'S TOONAMI ON-DEMAND! I DEMAND my Kenshin and Dragonball Z!!!

Yeah...but...do you really need AS with all that?

Anyway, I hope we get AS on Demand here, I've got Time Warner cable. Of course, we don't get Boomerang, which is OWNED by Time Warner, on my Time Warner cable, but whatever...
