I'd have to see it in motion, but the released image does not look good.
Did Disney just poke fun at a certain Nick show about a boy living in a house with 10 sisters?
I don't think Disney is making fun of the Loud House series.
Let's not forget that 101 Dalmatians has a 53 year head start on aforementioned show...
Yes they are
It was referenced in the Twitter post
Specifically this part:
Which Twitter post exactly?
EDIT: I only looked at the opening post. My mistake. Though it was a fan account that tweeted that. It's not affiliated with Disney.
The one thing I prefer already about the new series is the visuals. To be frank, even if there are too many reboots these days, I found the original 101 show a bit long and annoying in contrast with the film. Maybe this new show will feel more unique, upbeat and fresh.
Well, with all due respect, I don't find the 101 Dalmatians TV Series back in 1997 that bad. Me and my friends enjoy it back then. Incidentally, I was thinking Disney that they should do a Patch and Thunderbolt tv series based on 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure, but I guess it's not going to happen anytime soon. But, I'm willing to give 101 Dalmatian Street a chance.
Something about the design of the father dog looks awfully familiar, but I just can't place it. Maybe it's just that "bell shaped head, bean shaped mouth" design that's so popular with today's animation.
Though, I do question why Disney decided to go for a 101 series so soon after vaulting the movie. If kids develop an interest in the series and it generates demand for the film, there isn't a supply to fill said demand. (Disney Store online still carries the blu-ray despite its recent vaulting, but even that isn't guaranteed to last long.)
Maybe they'll take it out of the vault
The 2 studios working on this don't have anything that looks similar.
Well uh, this was unexpected. Out of all the older Disney franchises to be brought back, I never expected 101 Dalmatians.
not sure what to think about the animation....
That's a still image, not animation.

Why do I have feeling this will end up being exclusively on DXD, or aired on DXD the most. I just can't shake that feeling.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. It's ironic that the show was announced days before the day Disney announced another show with a new, comtemporary spin on a old property five years ago -- The 7D, which was for Disney Junior. Instead, Disney sent it off to DXD, where the show wasn't a good fit for the network. Despite that, The 7D scored decent ratings, but ended up buried by DXD anyway.
We get 7D on both Disney Junior and Disney XD. It kinda fits both channels.
Pretty much of Disney XD's programming, including its popular shows, are action-based or edgy but the network itself aims towards the boys' demographics. However, The 7D was a light, silly comedy that appealing to all kids and their families -- it was started as a Disney Junior show, after all. That's what I meant by that. I live in the U.S., so I don't know how DXD is like in your country compared to mine. The 7D also had aired for some time on both Disney Junior as well as Disney Channel during its first season here. However, Disney had always designated DXD U.S. to broadcast all premieres of The 7D.
I wouldn't be surprised if 101 Dalmatian Street would end up just like The 7D...Disney's handling of the latter reminded me so.
I found this on Double Z's website, the website of two Irish comedy writers Ciaran Morrison and Mick O'Hara.
It seems 101 Dalmatians is being rebooted as a 52x11 minute TV show for Disney Channel and Disney Junior. The art style reminds me of the Mickey Mouse shorts, and the two writers are extremely funny.
Example of their work as Zig & Zag on The Big Breakfast in the 90s:
I guess that's why they picked that, of all shows, to get released on iTunes several months ago.
