How do you shrink a picture without distorting it?

the way I do it is, when you go to crop the picture down to 75X75. You try to get it down to 75x75 directly (RARELY works though)...it's a pain in the butt..

A pain in the butt? I think making avatars is relatively easy, and I thought you'd be an old pro at it!

Making the avatars is easy beyond easy. It's getting them to their peak (75x75) is the hard part. For me anyway. That's why some of mine are lower than usual. I try to get them at 75x75 before I send one off to sombody...I don't want them to think I didn't try my hardest..
