Murder At Titans Tower!

Chapter 1-Fall from grace


Names Liam Kincade, up until a week ago, i was a just another detective in Jump cities west district. But back then, i didn't know how things would change so much. Let me start from the beginning, it was a sunday night, not to hot not to cold. My precint had just gotten a call, from the freaking Teen Titans! At first, it made no sense for them to call, then i found out what thier reason for calling was. My chief called me in his office, i figured it had something to do with that bank, i shot up last week. Boy, if i new what he wanted me to do back then, i would of spat in his face.

"Hello Matt, have a seat." said my chief.

"Sir, whats this all about?" I eagerly asked.

My chief took a big sigh, almost like he wanted to get this over with.

"Matt, remeber that Teen Titans call last night?" asked my chief.

"Yep." i replied. "So what, what was the call about boss?" I folded my arms.

"The Titans found a dead body, right in thier tower." Chief sadly said.

"What, how did it get thier?" I asked.

"According to them, they just found the body layed out." said chief.

"You believe that sir?" i asked.

"I......don't, we examined the body, it had wounds that could only have been inflicted, buy a Metahuman." said chief sadly.

"I see." I replied. "Im guessing, you want me to go up thier, and start asking questions."

"Yes, but don't jump to any conclusions,..... these guys are heroes." Chief nervously said.

"Not all heroes, are 100 percent good." I replied.

Chief shook his head, and i got up, and left his small office.

I have short red hair, and green eyes to go along with it. that day, i had on a very very light brown, long jacket. I had on a green tie, which i only wore, because i didn't do the laundry yet. I drove down to the bay, which usually was filled of old fisherman, or people trying to become fisherman. I rented a small boat, and since I new some people thier, i got a discount. I drove it myself,and about halfway to Titans tower, i noticed just how big Titans Tower truly was.

"woo.. pretty nice." i commented. "Hope thier home." i said with a smile.

Mins later, i arrived on the small island, which was home only to the Titans, and thier Tower. I leaped off the boat, and tried to avoid getting wet, it worked to a degree. I made my way, around the massive Tower, and looked for a door, or something to get in.

"Where the hell, is the entrance to this place?" i angrily asked.

After about 5 mins, a door finally opened, but slowly. On the otherside, stood a short teen, with green skin, and green hair, It was the one called Beastboy.

"What do yah what dude?" asked Beastboy.

I paused for a second, and noticed how tired he looked, like he had gotten no sleep at all. Thier were bags under his big eyes, and he kept yawning.

"Im detective Liam Kincade, Jump PD." I said while holding up my badge.

"So, what are you doing here again, dude?"asked Beastboy with a yawn.

"Its about that body, you know the dead one you guys found, and reported." i said.

Beastboys eyes widened.

"Um.....come in.....i guess." said beastboy nervously.

"Alright." I replied.

I walked into the door, and headed up to the Tower.

Very interesting plot. Who was killed? Very nice. One gripe.

There: It means like "I fell over There!"
Their: It is their home.

You spelled em, and used em wrong. Just a correction. That's all.

OoOh, yes, very nice plot. I can't wait to see more of this. My only gripe is the grammer thing like T.T.R4 said. Everything else was great. Please post more soon!

Chapter 3- Suspects abound


The Beastboy, took me to the top floor, of the Tower. He kept glanceing back at me, on the way up. I guess he didn't like me being here, but i idn't care, i had a job to do. We reached the main room, it was thier kitchen/living room. I walked inside, and saw the other Titans sprolled out on thier couch watching TV. When me, and the Beastboy entered, they turned around, thier faces, less then pleasant.

"Hey guys, a cop is here."said Beastboy.

The one called Robin, stood up, and walked over to me. I noticed, he was the only one wearing a mask.

"You here about the body, right." said Robin.

"What else kid." I replied.

Robin looked back at the other Titans,and then noded at them. They all got up, and walked off past me.

"What was that about?" I asked.

"Nothing, they all just had things to do." explained Robin.

"I see, I guess i will ask you first." I said.

"Ask me anything, i already told the other cops everything i know." Robin softly said.

"Alright then, the dead body you said you found, was Tony Chang." I said. "He was the son of Wu Chang, the leader of the chinese Triads."

Robin made no expression.

"Well detective, like i told the other cops, we found him bloody, and dead in the living room." said Robin.

"According to the autopsy, Chang died from unusual burns, all over his body." I said. "The Burns, were new when we picked him up, very new."


" Maybe Changs enemies, fried him, and then stuck him in the tower, to frame us." replied Robin.

"Uh-huh, isn't this place hard to get into, you guys have tight security as i hear." I said.

Robin then paused.

"Thier a problem kid?" I asked.

"No Problem detective, and trust me, many of our enemies have broken into the tower." Robin Replied.

"I see, no further questions, i will ask the other titans now." I said.

Robin then, pointed to a hallway, which led to the other Titans rooms.

I decided, to knock on any room door in random order, it seemed simple. I knocked on a very Dark door, the door, was in shadows, i got no answer. I then went acorss the hall, and knocked on another door, and the Machine man Cyborg opened up.

"Can i ask you some questions?" I asked.

Robin then walked past us, and him and cyborg exchanged glances.


"Sure, as long as you don't mind me working out, during all this." said Cyborg.


"No i don't." I replied with a forced smile.


I walked into his room,and it looked like a mini gym, i figuered his room would be like this. I followed him over to a bench press, he had on 100s!

"So, what can you tell me about the dead body?" I asked.

"Well, we came home from beating down Dr.Light, and it was thier, simple." replied Cyborg.

I nearly slapped him, after a thoughtless comment like that. I then realized, that would of been a bad move, considering Cyborgs mass.

"Simple, you find a dead freaking body in your living room, and thats simple!" I yelled.

"Listen Detective, ive seen some things man, maniacs in masks, dimension travelling clones. I have even seen, and Alien world, now trust me, a dead body is simple." said Cyborg.

He then began benching the weight.


"Okay then, according to Robins report, you found the body at 9 pm, and reported it at 11 pm. Now tell me, why did it take so long, to report a "simple" dead body?" I asked with a grin.


Cyborg then angrily slammed down his weight, and looked right at me.

"We had trouble, contacting you guys." replied Cyborg.

"So, you can fly into deep space, but can't dial 911 in less then 2 hours." I replied.

Cyborg then got up, and began moving me out of his room, with force.

"I have to workout, so ask someone else detective, i told you all i could." said Cyborg.

"Fine." I replied.

He then slammed his door shut, without another word. I new after that, something was going on, both Robin, and cyborg were hideing something. Before im oved on, a girl in a darkk black hood, the one they called Raven, walked out of her room. I couldn't get a close look at her face.

"Excuse me Raven, can i ask you soem questions." i asked.

This is where it got weird, if new what know now, i would of ran out that tower then and thier. Raven then stopped, and then turned back to me.

"Well can i Raven?" i asked again.

Raven then looked up at me, her eyes were Blood red!

"NO......!" replied Raven.

She then appeared to hover off, into the living room. I was in shock, and was then scared.

Chapter 3-In to deep


After thee incident with Raven, i decided to head home. On my way out, i passed through the living room, and the orange skinned alien Starfire, stood their, sadly stood their.


"You must be Starfire, its nice to meet you." I happily said.

She slowly noded, and a tear ran down her orange face.

"You okay Star?" I asked.

"I......am.......fine." she sadly replied.

I was never to good dealing with woman, and i new alien woman would be even worse.

"Okay then,do you mind if i ask you some questions?" I asked softly.

She noded, but her sad expression never changed. It made me wonder, would she tell me what really happened.

"Okay, can you tell me, what happened last night, between 9 and 11pm?" I asked.


"Well....we tried to alert the PD, but we could not." said Star.

"Why, could you not" I asked.

Before she could answer, Robin walked into the room, and looked right at Starfire. He folded his arms, this made star forget her orginal sentence.

"Um.......Mr detective, I do not wish to say anymore, the others have already told you." said Star.

"Very well then, ive seen and heard enough for one day." I said angrily.

Robin then noded to Star, and Starfire began to walk past me. She bumped into me, purposely, and slipped me a small note. Robin did not see this, thinking back,... i wish he had seen it.

"Well i will be going for today then." I said.

Robin let out a humph, and showed me the way out.

On my way down the stairs, i opened up then note Star slipped me.

"What the?" i asked in shock. "This note, it makes no sense."

Starfires note read, Trigon will desttorc, and Raven help her, not murderr. I relaized, Starfire was not good at writing english. I also wanted to know.

"Whats a Trigon?"

I decided to stop off at a pub, right across the street from my apartment. I always liked to think, and drink, not to much though.

"What does this note mean?" I wondered. "If she just told me, i would be closer to solving this freaking case!" i yelled while slamming my fist down.

My outburst caught the bartender Macks attention, i didn't care though.

"You okay Kincade?" asked Mack.

"Im fine, just a tough case, involving the Teen Titans." I replied.

"The Teen Titans, i love them, they saved me life a few times." commented Mack.

"Thats nice, just get me another drink...MACK" I said.

It was about 12 am , and the bar was closeing, and i left only alittle drunk somehow. Since my Apartment was close, i decided to walk it. I stumbeld alitle, but was sober enough to think straight. I got witthin a block of my place, when a spotted a car slowly approaching me. I couldn't see the driver, [of course] but i new when i was in trouble.

"Damn!" i yelled.

I took off down a small alley, the car gave chase! Im a fast runner, but it almost caught me, when i jumped into a garbage can, and it crashed into a wall! I slowly climbed out the garbage, and took out my blaster, and slowy approached the wrecked car.

"Lets see, who tried to whack old me." i said.

I got to the destroyed front seat, and looked through the window, and saw avery short bald haired boy, with a green jumpsuit on. It was Gizmo, some little thief, that hated the Titans. He was knocked out, but i brought him to.

"Why the hell, did you try to kill me kid?" i angrily asked.

Gizmo shook his head, trying to see straight.

"Who are you, and what the hell am i doing here?" Asked Gizmo confused.

"You just tried to kill me, with this car!" I yelled.

"I don't remeber, i was playing cards with Jynx, and i blackd out, and woke up here." he explained.

"Great." i said.

It then started to rain, almost to match my attuide at the moment, i had gotten into this case, way to deep.

Chapter 4-The Fall of Liam Kincade and the Rise of............


You know how most people, look back on thier lives after near death experinces. For me, that wasn't the case, i wasn't looking back, i wanted to live on, and go Forward. I took Gizmo back to the precint, i needed to find out everything he knew. I put him in the interogation room, and decided to talk to him alone.

"Listen Gizmo, just tell me all you remeber." I said.

"Well Buttmuncher, me and Jynx were playing poker, and i just plum blacked out. I woke up, in that front seat!" explained Gizmo.

I believed him, he had no reason to kill me, and he can't even reach the peddles.

"Okay, a cop will be in to get you soon." i said.

After i left Gizmo, i new something was really up. I decided to do something, i decided to go To Titans tower, while the Titans were gone. I figured, they must have security cameras in the tower, maybe the cams caught something, the night of the murder.

I lept off my boat, on to Titans Island, they all were gone, fighting some Villlian in the city. I new, i was about to commit a crime, i didn't care as long as i closed the case. I remebered where Beastboy opened the door from, and i had brought some of my police equipment. I don't remebr how, ientered the Tower, but i did.

"Hope you know what your doing Kincade." I said to myself.

I ran up the stairs, and stopped on the second to top floor. It appeared to be a hall of somesorts,It had all these masks and weapons from thir past battles. I walked further in, and noticed a wierd mask, that was in small box.


"What maniac wore this?" i wondered.

I could not resist, and placed the weird mask on my face, it had a strange dust on it to.

I entered thier camera room, where they kept thier security tapes. Istarted pressing buttons, and an image poped up on a screen. it was from the night of the murder, from what i could see, it looked like Chang, and Raven. Chang stood thier with a blaster to Ravens head, Raven eyes begain to glow again, somehting had happened to her. Then, The other titans busted in, and something else as well, some kind of man, in a suit. That was it, the tape cut off, and thier was no more footage.

"So it might of been Raven." i said. "It had to been her, and the other person in the suit, she must of killed him to."

I had the case figured out, and was about to leave. But, i still had that wierd mask on me, and something was calling me to put it on again. At first i resisted, then i decided what the hell. I placed it on my face.

"Okay, im a bad guy now." I jokenily said.

I then was about to take it off, but i could not.

"What the hell!" i screamed while trying to force it off.

I then heard a wierd voice, then sounded familiar to me.

"Its about time Liam, ive been restless." said the voice.

Something started to happen to me, my body was being consumed buy a weird suit.

"NOoooooooo!" I screamed.

I WAS GONENOW, AND THIER EXISTED SOMETHING THAT WAS lOST TO ME FOR TO LONG. HE HAD BEEN DORMANT TO LONG. I HAD BECOME WHO I TRULY WAS.....
