Here's another Fox and Crow chainlink that I thought'd be fun to write.

"Da Case of Da Idiotic Fox"

(Open: it's a dark and stormy night. At a huge mansion, the Fox lays in his easy chair reading the evening paper. He reaches for bushel of grapes)

Fox: This is strange, I don't seem to be feeling it....

(The Fox turns around to see that the bushel of grapes is missing)

Fox: YIPE! Oh my gosh, my gosh, my gosh, my gosh! My grapes! My beautiful, lovely, delicious, wonderful GRAPES! GONE! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

(Meanwhile, on the other side of town, Hairlock Colmes and his faithful assistant, Gotson are in easy chairs)

Gotson: Colmes, I say, most baffling - we haven't had a case in days. Don't you find that unusual?

Colmes: Elementary my dear Gotson - any second now we shall have a case by a frantic character mourning over some form of loss.

(Suddenly, the Fox runs, flailing his arms, screaming)

Fox: EEEEEEE! MY GRAPES! MY GRAPES! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

(Calmy, Colmes whacks the Fox on the head with a bat)

Colmes: Now just tell me, what exactly is your name, sir?

Fox: GRAPES---I MEAN, FAUNTLEROY FOX! BUT ABOUT MY GRAPES! GONE! EEEEEE!

Colmes: Let's start from the beginning, shall we? You was there when this vicious act had occured?

Fox: Well, there was my dog, Rover, my butler, and my wife, Kate.

Colmes: Anybody not there who you would think would do this?

Fox: Well, first off, there's that CROW, then I would say my former costar, Edward Elk...

Colmes: YOU knew Edward Elk?!

Fox: Well, I...

Colmes: Oh yes, I remembered those delightful pictures!

Gotson: Remember the one with the Aunt? Oh, jolly good!

Fox (annoyed): Ahem, CAN WE GET BACK TO MY CASE, PLEASE?

Colmes: Oh, yes, yes, of course! Now who else?

Fox: Well, there's that Wolf from "Wolf Chases Pigs," Mister Quincy Magoo, Flippy, Flop, and Sam, Lil' Abner from the Sunday funnies, Tito and his Burrito, Gerald McBoing Boing, and that lovable mischelf kid - Scrappy!

Colmes: I see...

(We cut to Colmes' notepad where we see a poor drawing of a cat on it labeled "kitty")
