I damn near had a heartache when I read the other thread about this. So this is the legendary "WORLD'S COLLIDE" storyline, correct??
I cannot wait for this. I just hope the characters are on-model from the series. Remember this was in between JL and JLU, and I think they redesigned some characters.

I'm sorry, but I have to ask: is this really the DCAU film "World's Collide", only with a title change?

I really, REALLY hope not. Because the rumor was that this film was a rewrite of World's Collide and would take out all references to the DCAU. If that's what this is, it's a terrible idea.

That was never a rumor, just a postulation by some posters on here and some other message boards.
There is no way I can know for sure, but just because Dwayne McDuffie wrote this DTV, doesn't mean it is "Worlds Collide." I wish we could get some official confirmation so people could stop worrying!

I think that this movie is not the same as Worlds Collide, but then again it might be, according to titles the story could be similar.

I hope this film is better than the first. The first was only okay.

I wish that too. I couldn't think which would suck more, a non-DCAU "adult" World's Collide or Futurama replacing it's entire voice cast. Fortunately one of these fears turned groundless but that "postulation" and the comment from Dwayne that one of his upcoming projects would be a look at "what might have been" have made me justifiably twitchy.

I doubt it's JLU. If it is, why not still call it "World's Collide"? I agree: I really wish James would just tell us if it is or isn't JLU-related. My opinion; this is a DTV movie based on the many times the JLA and JSA teamed up. Will there be something from "Crisis on Infinite Earths"? Maybe, but doubtful. Because all of those stories, where one Earth encountered another for the first time, had a title that started with "Crisis..."

You're kidding, right? This isn't connected to New Frontier, just as much as all the DTVs aren't connected to one another at all.

I'm excited no matter which it is. After all, if this is Worlds Collide animated, it's not like that rules out the DCAU movie as a future possibility by a long shot.

As much as I would like to see more of the DCAU, I could still be perfectly happy with a good Justice League DTV movie even if that meant creating something self-contained and entirely unrelated to existing continuity, provided that the resulting product is solid.
It wouldn't be my first choice, by any means, but it wouldn't be the end of the world either.

From the time when the title was originally considered (5-6 years ago), there are many reasons why they may have had to change the name from "Worlds Collide". For one thing, that's the slogan being used for "Mortal Kombat VS. The DC Universe": worldscollide.com.
On the other hand, if it is set in the DCAU, wouldn't they have used the title Justice League Unlimited: Crisis on Two Earths?
Either way, I'm open to anything.

You're assuming that it is an adapation of the old Silver Age stories. If it is going to be the Worlds Collide idea with a new title, then the JSA won't be in it and the Flash and GL will be respectively Wally West and John Stewart. The plot would have the JL (sans Hawkgirl) butt heads with the CSA and lead into what caused the expansion into the ultra-sized League in JLU.

You see, I don't know about that. I don't think you needed "World's Collide" to begin with, because "Starcrossed" was a good reason why the JL became the JLU. "World's Collide" always felt like a "just in case JLU still didn't make sense" kind of way.
That's why I think, really thinking, and really hoping, this is about JLA/JSA and not JL (aka JLU)/CSA.

And some of us would like to see the actual CSA get made animated, especially after the Justice Lords and the "Injustice Syndicate." Besides, all J'onn was is that they'd rebuild. That doesn't mean that's the reason for the expanded army. Also, Worlds Collide would explain WW's Invisible Jet in the DCAU.

Well, all of the DCAU titles have been good, so this shouldn't dissapoint.

Well the title does say a "Crisis on two Earths" so there could be a half JLU, half something else at best. That would be pretty sweet, an homage to the JLU colliding with the comics or one the established DCU movies.
Either way, it sounds like a good movie.

I can't see this being Worlds Collide. "Crisis on Two Earths" sounds very much like two Justice Leagues getting together to fight crime. This isn't going to be a Timmverse title. When Dwayne talks about "what might have been," that's probably a reference to that JL episode that was supposed to be a JLA/JSA teamup, and instead had to be a JLA/Justice Guild teamup.
