Mod Note: Discussion continued from "Batman: Brave & The Bold" News & Discussion Thread, Part 3 (Spoilers)
I LOL'ed when I saw Paul "Pee-Wee Herman" Reubens was playing Bat-Mite. Plus the clip "BatMites Imagination Runs Away with Him" where Bat-Mite is being chase by all the villains, reminded me of an old Daffy Duck cartoon called "The Great Piggy Bank Robbery". Where Daffy is reading a Dick Tracy comic book. Daffy then wishes he was Dick so he knocks himself out. In his dream he is chased by gangsters as Duck Twacy. Everything in the clip is really close to the old cartoon. Which I found it to be very cool. Also liked the pic of BatMite popping out of the drum, like Porky Pig. Well, "Th-th-th-that's all folks!". Lol.

Does anyone else find this version of Catwoman just... horribly, grotesquely ugly? I mean, seriously, she looks like she fell down the ugly escalator and hit every step multiple times, becaiuse it was the ugly UP escalator, so she was just hitting the ugly steps over and over again?
...I mean, damn, she's ugly.

I'll admit I hated idea of a campy batman at first but this show has just sold me on it. By the way, did anyone else catch that Joel Schumacher jab with the costumes? Talk about nip-slip, lol.
|
This Batman isn't even really that campy.

I agree, she's butt-ugly. I'm disappointed, but I guess it could have been worse if they used the original Catwoman with the actual cat-head.

Since this is a cartoony alternate dimension, I don't expect her to actually look like that in the rest of the series. Notice how the Tweeds and Joker are also more exaggerated than usual.

Quite interesting that they'd decide to do this. This is going to fly way over the kids' heads. XD
|
The show is filled with references to death and other mature meterial. And all those silver age comic references. Things that are already flying over kids heads. What they care is it's fun. All the little things in Brave and the bold are for comic fans.

OMG!! I was looking at the screen caps for legends of the dark mite. I got a good chuckle and laughs after looking through them. Looks like an awesome episode!

Ya know, that will make this show as interesting as B:TAS was for the kids growing up with it. As they age and re-watch the eps, they'll begin to pick up on more of the stuff they were too naive to previously catch.

Can someone please post some screen caps of the jail break from "Day of The Dark Knight"?
Or if someone has a link to some that would be good too!
Thanks!

She's in the smorgasbord of villains, in front of the strange, yet classic Killer Moth.

That's Tiger Shark, a VERY obscure, one-shot villain.
