Nobody has to us these, I am just throwing ideas out there, (and .bg, hope you don't mind, I kinda used your idea...)

Too basic for my taste, the characters bring life to the banner and should be represented, this would be a good banner if this was not a TZ board.

Yes but once it leaves CN forever, the banner will have a show that isn't on anymore.

The banner should just have the logo, because adding things like Noods and characters will just make the banner outdated in a year or two.

Again, even if this wasn't partly my idea I'd still agree 100% with this. Take it from a four year art major.

The new banner doesn't have to be showy with tons of characters on it. If we're on the CN board we already know which characters are CN characters. We don't need them plastered all over the forum banner.

The way CN operates these days anything specific that goes on the banner will end up making it look outdated in a couple of years. A simple banner looks nice and is low maintenance.

Frankly, Dusty, that isn't very good. It doesn't look like you spent a lot of time on it, as it looks like you just slapped the word "Forums" under the CN logo and decided to be done with it. That's a shame, because your previous Nood-based one showed that you know your way around graphics software.

I have one. The new CN Forum banner will be Ben, Owen, Chowder, Flapjack, Batman, Yoda, and Johnny Test.

I worked hard on this so, I might as well show you my banner:

I decided a nice group picture of some of Cartoon Network's most significant characters should be depicted in the banner. Ranging from old and new characters, probably most of them should be easily recognizable. I know, it's pretty big but, there's always resizing.

Yes, I know My Gym Partner's a Monkey probably isn't a fan-favorite here (and it isn't one of mine), but Jake is an easily recognizable face in the Cartoon Network world.

I love the shadows you used in this banner. And anyways, somehow this thread has became "show off you custom banner" thread. Weird.

It's nice, but it's much too busy. That many characters is a distraction. (To name just one example, you don't need to have both versions of Ben Tennyson; just one will do fine.) The Nicktoons forum banner only has 4 characters on it.

I say keep it short and simple. Either use just the logo and no characters at all, or just a small number of characters, no more than 3, 4 or at a stretch 5.

No, no and once again no. There should be no characters that were acquired from sources outside of CN studios. No Star Wars, Johnny Test or Total Drama Island characters. When these shows leave CN, the banner will become dated and we're right back where we started. We also should avoid characters from shows that are hot right now, such as Flapjack and Chowder, for the same reason. If any of those shows ends, then the banner will once again become dated.

Again I say, if the banner is going to have any characters at all, it should be the iconic ones who will always be associated with Cartoon Network such as Dexter, the Powerpuff Girls or Johnny Bravo.

This one is cool but it lacks heavy hitters like Ben 10 and TSS.
