No signs of So Weird. Its lead was a girl, wasn't it? That may not jive with XD. You'd probably see The Jersey sooner.

The live action reruns we are getting are:

Even Stevens
Phil of the Future
The Famous Jett Jackson
Suite Life of Zack and Cody

I wish they'd find a timeslot for the old school Power Rangers shows (Mighty Morphin-Wild Force), those were a heck of alot better than the disney PR episodes. Jungle Fury sucked.

There is a new ad for XD (specifically Arron Stone) on p.25 of the new issue of GamePro (Feb 09)

Google and/or Wikipedia would be your best bets for that, or the Disney XD website.

Feb. 13, 2009 for the start of Disney XD - That's 4 days before the planned Feb. 17, 2009 date when analog signals are switched over to Digital TV unless a bill is passed the Senate, House, and President Obama to push to DTV date from Feb. 17, 2009 to June 12, 2009!

And they'd do this...why??

Call it a hunch, but I'm pretty sure that the US government couldn't possibly care less whether or not the impending digital upgrade coincides with the relaunch of a kids' cable channel.

Disney XD has had pages set up on both iTunes and Xbox Live Marketplace for a while now. Click on the links to see the pics (iTunes account name is covered up for my protection)

Toon Disney (XBL) and Jetix (iTunes) are no longer listed as a part of the services. Stinks on the iTunes section because they offered Power Rangers and SRMTHFG! on there and they are no longer to be found. On XBL, only Yin Yang Yo was offered under the Toon Disney section.
Shows listed to buy and download on both services: Phineas and Ferb, Yin Yang Yo, Pucca, X-Men (90s series), and Spider-Man (90s Series). This is also the first time Pucca and Disney's Marvel acquisitions have ever been available to own as a download.

Also, the first episode of Aaron Stone is now out. "Hero Rising, Part 1" is available for free on iTunes. Pics for proof and showcase of the 30-second preview:

Well, tonight is the night. Toon Disney will become Disney XD. I’m under the impression that it will take some time for Disney XD to truly separate itself from what Toon Disney was in its final days, but shows will be phased out and the network will establish a new identity. I just hope that their handling of the network is better than their handling of the promotional campaign; I think that much faux-cool is going to leave people unimpressed. Sometimes, it’s a bad thing to try too hard.

To be honest, I'm rather interested to see if Toon Disney / Jetix has a farewell bumper.

I'm going to try to remember to tune in at midnight tonight to see when Toon Disney officially becomes Disney XD. Beyond that, I really don't care much. Based on what I've seen, Disney XD will basically be Jetix all day long, and that Disney took the word "Toon" out of the channel's name in order to justify it's airing more live action programming. Aside from the non-animated shows and the fact that non-Jetix cartoons have been weeded out, I really don't notice much of a difference.

Like The Huntsman already said, Disney XD's promos are kind of a turn off. I think that they're trying much too hard to be hip, cool and XTREME!!!!, and I personally think Disney's attempt to transform XD into a boy-centric cool zone is going to come back to bite them in the butt. Disney Channel and XD will probably just end up being clones of one another, with the only difference being the names.

Honestly, I don't expect a darn thing in terms of bye-bye. They'll show the last show -- The Incredible Hulk -- do the credits, and go 100% full-bore into OMG! XD IS HERE! mode.

4Kids-on-Fox didn't do anything. In fact, networks ignore things that are ending. They just let them whimper away.

I don't think a farewell bumper is too far-fetched. They've already made a promo announcing the fact that TD/Jetix will turn into XD. I at least expect some sort of transition bumper, or special bumper signaling the start of XD.
