I'm glad they got a good series. this might mean trouble for toonami but they can always have encores like they do With Blue Dragon now.

The original news link I posted has been updated with images. I'm going to preemptively ask everyone to not start ranting about early character designs, as we all know what happened with Teen Titans and Legion Of Super Heroes.

I said I couldn't wait for the new designs but, I take that back...
I hate them... I know this an early design, but c'mon.

1. I can't say I like them either. And come on - why do we need half of these characters re-envisioned when we had them just a few years ago?
2. Yes, but that won't stop people (including me) from demanding them to show up anyway.
I hope they don't shoot themselves in the foot with this...

Blue Beetle? They better make this series work. A new fantasy/adventure block on Fridays too. The new Toonami? Things may finally be looknig up for the network. Or not. We'll have to see, but here's hoping.

Kind of remind me of Batman from the Super Friends.
Hopefully this is an early design and not the final one.

Well...they changed. No reason to get upset about these designs if they're still gonna be tweaked somehow.
Granted if this is the vibe the shows going for, who knows what it'll be like. But this is the first DC animation to be only on CN since JLU...plus it's on Friday night, so it may just look silver age and be completely awesome.

Taken from my post on the CN board's topic since I'm too lazy to type up something new.
I just realized they're using the current Blue Beetle, Jaime Reyes and not Ted Kord.
I know a lot of people will complain about this, saying they're only using Jaime since he is Mexican and the whole thing, but I really enjoy his character and the fact that he's the rare teen hero with a real and supportive family who knows his secret identity and no one is murdered to make sure he's bleak and the like. Pick up the collected editions if you see them in the store, you'll like it.
