Save Danny Phantom LINKS

the dpof has a great page with address to write to to SAVE DANNY PHANTOM.

http://hometown.aol.com/zcat6/SAVEDANNYPHANTOM.html

and the most important letter is a hand written one and should be sent to

Cyma Zarghami
President of Nickelodeon
1515 Broadway
New York, New York
10036
USA

TELL HER HOW MUCH WE LOVE DANNY PHANTOM!!

and here is a petition online, which is not good as a writing a letter, but it helps (this petition already has almost 2,000 signatures on it in ONLY FIVE DAYS)

Well, even though Butch said he had some ideas that he would have liked to do, the fact that it made it to 53 episodes is a good thing. It just didn't have the ratings to pull through. The recent shows that made a comeback were all based on ratings they had.

These petitions almost always never work.

Yep those petitions never work, also I'm the only one that think that Danny Phantom never get the level of FOP??, I mean FOP was a great success for Nick and gves a lot of merchandising and money but DP was only a small success and never get the same acepation. Well I'm going to miss FOP .... but not Danny.

Yeah... like Avatar.

I like DP well enough, but can you guys please give these useless petitions a rest?

well a couple people may feel like you guys do but there are 2,000 kids in five days who feel the opposite of what you feel.

this thread is NOT for people like you who don't love Danny. it's for the rest of us who DO LOVE HIM.

so if you dno't like it, then why do you bother with this thread? leave it alone and i'll leave your threads alone. why are you so mean? isn't anybody else allowed to post here unless they agree with you or something?

i have a right to post this information and you have a right to ignore it if you want, but don't say its useless because it is not. not everybody just rolls over and accepts whatever happens in life. sometimes taking a stand for something is important whether you succeed or fail at it. if it doesn't work then fine, but at least we tried. my mom says that is what is important and i believe her. not you.

Petitions and letters hardly work. Petitions gets loads and loads of repeat signers and letters are mostly sent by the teens and adults, not kids. What matters are RATINGS. DP is going to have to have a lot higher ratings for Nick to reconsider ordering more episodes. But still it's worth a try. There's still a very tiny chance.

JN and FOP are probably the shows that would get renewed first because they have higher ratings, sorry to say.

I took an active part in the campaign to save Disney's Kim Possible. It worked.

First, we started a Yahoo group. Here, we discussed ways to pester Disney into giving us more episodes. Be sure to clearly ask for more episodes to be produced. We learned to do so after Disney started telling us that more episodes of Kim Possible still had to air and that they had no plans to take Kim Possible off of Disney Channel's schedule.

We organized "Save Kim Possible Day(s)," on which we made extra efforts to mail, email, call, and fax Disney. While emails and petitions are nice, they do not help as much as calling, faxing, and sending good old-fashioned snail mail do.

We included all of the necessary information to do so on a "How to Help" page on a website that we created (sorry for the plug, but I feel that it is necessary to give the link in this case so everybody interested has an example of how they might be able to organize a way to save Danny Phantom) at www.savedisneyshows.org . Our email templates (example: http://www.savedisneyshows.org/kp/email/ ) was also very imporant.

So, Jadee and everybody else who wants to save Danny Phantom, don't give up hope. It can be done. Shows like Kim Possible and Family Guy are proof of that.

However, be warned, you need to be very persistent and organized for your efforts to pay off. We had been fighting to get KP renewed for a couple of years before Disney finally gave in and renewed the show. The show had actually been out of production for several months (half a year or more) before Disney officially announced that KP was renewed.

Remember: persistence, organization, and diligence are key when it comes to bringing a show back to life.

Good luck.

I myself do enjoy DP but I also know that nothing can last forever. What happens after you "save" the show and they want to call it quits again a few years down the road are you going to keep doing this forever. IMO DP ending now is no big deal it's just a cartoon that I like. Besides at least it won't drag on and spiral into crappy ep's like some famous cartoons.

Yes, I agree with Toonmaster with his comment. There are alot of half-hour shows that only last than 53 episodes. You should be glad that Nick gave the show a chance in the first place. Plus this type of genre is fiercely competitive these days with shows like Juniper Lee and Jake Long American Dragon fighting for respectable ratings too. I've also believe that Butch Hartman is brunt-out from working Fairly Oddparents and Danny recently. Butch hasn't done a whole lot of work like this recently since he worked on a couple of pilots and shows for CN.

If Butch didn't want the show to end, then I would have signed it. But, Butch was ok with it ending, so I won't.

I'd rather not force the man back to work just because a sow I like is going to end.

well then you should sign it beacause BUTCH said he WANTS to make more DP episodes, here is a DIRECT QUOTE from his statment:

That being said, as with FOP, would I like to make more "Danny Phantom" episodes? YOU BET I WOULD! Heck, I was just getting started! We had some awesome plans and surprises coming up, but, alas, for now at least, you'll have to be satisfied with 53 high-quality episodes of Danny.

so you are wrong when you say Butch was ok with it. he's not. its pretty obvious he's just saying all this nicely because he has to

Nickelodeon DOES NOT care about anyone over the age of 11.
