Letter-writing campaign to get more seasons for JLU

Someone had posted the number for WHV in another thread, and i had asked if JLU gets canceled, could we call that number to voice our opinion?

One of the responses was that by the time we hear JLU is canceled, there wouldn't be a way to save it anyway.

So, i put forth to you guys, would you be interested in starting a letter-writing campaign to tell WB, CN, etc. how much we love JLU, point out the strong ratings and high toy sales, and kindly request they continue to order new episodes?

If anyone has an address we could write to (maybe head of the animation department at CN or something like that), that would be a great start.

I could write out a template letter that people could just print out and mail. I know a lot of people say that kind of stuff probably won't work, but hey, if we flood the office with 5,000 of the same letter, i think they'd take notice.

So how about it, guys?

Sure, I'd be willing to mail in some letters. I agree with the other posters here who've said it'd be difficult convincing the execs, but I still think it's worth a shot. Justice League Unlimited is such a cool concept and it'd suck to see the show end so soon after the Legion of Doom's been introduced. Even though I nitpick at some of the episodes, I still find myself counting down the days until the next one airs (or in Cartoon Network's case...counting down the months).

What is that magical number that Cartoon Network likes to end a run of episodes at ? Was it around 52 or 56? I suppose if CN considers JLU a separate show than JL, ordering another 13 episodes would put it closer to that mark.

I could be happy if JLU could just get 13 episodes beyond this season 104 in all. I think if we write our letters and buy our DVDs we can at the least get that much.

I might change the title of this thread to say "... a 4th Season of JLU". While I'd have no problem with the show going on for years, I think the most we could hope for is 4 13-episode seasons before all is said and done. There is a very good case for branding JLU as its own show and therefore hitting that "magic" number of 52 episodes that CN seems to like.

I agree -- it's better to "strike" now with a campaign than it is to wait until the entire 3rd season has aired and an official (if unlikely) cancelation notice from the network. I live in Atlanta and know a guy in the ratings department at CN, and I'm trying to get the appropriate contact information for sending letters. If anyone else is in the know about who to contact, then by all means post it. Let's get the word out while we can.

Give me an address and Ill send all the letters I can! I want a 4th season of JLU, I want it to be 52 episodes total, just like any other current cartoon. Please CN, if you dont have plans for a 4th season of JLU, please reconsider your decision and give us a final shot. Now if there are actually plans for a 4th season then bring it on!!!!!

Indeed, just title it "JLU Season 4 campaign", that'll do.

This is the only address I can find to write to. Unfortunately I don't know the name(s) of anyone we should specifically write to.

It's a start if nothing else.

We'll give it a week or so, and if no other address has been found, we'll start there.

Thanks!

Good to see you guys coming out and supporting this.

I'm actually kind of surprised, i thought a lot more people on this board would be down for this.

When we get an official address, i'll make sure it's posted in this thread and we can start writing.

This sounds well worth the effort. Anyone who's a member of the Action figure Insoder forums should check out a thread in the Mattel-All section simliar to this one and post about this idea there. They lack any names or addresses too, but added support and letters couldn't hurt.

I agree 100%! (Just look at my signature! ) Besides, we could try to convince Warner Bros. that allowing JLU to reach 52 episodes would give them the opportunity to release four 26 episode DVD box sets. Nice and symmetric, a collector's dream!

I thought people would be all over this like gravy on mash potatoes. Count me in on this letter-writing campaign.

Yeah I'm surprised more people aren't jumping in on this too. I'm going to start working on my letter tomorrow (I've been sick or it would've been finished already).

i'm going to do it. i have a feeling there will be a season 4 regardless, but i'm writing a letter anyway.

AND the main point of my letter will be to have an EMBARGO FREE season 4.

if they listened to us for the widescreen release of JL season 2, then there is hope. And im sure as hell going to make them know how ridiculous the bat embargo is.

so, i urge everyone writing a letter to atleast mention your dissatisfaction with the bat embargo, and the flawed logic behind all these embargos, from a fan and consumer's pov.

peace.

yea, kill two birds with one stone. although "the batman" seems to keep going and i don't see an end in sight...sadly. they're getting a robin next season. i don't see the embargo ending anytime soon
