Has CN Pulled Off Its "Pants?"

Just checked CN's schedule for Sunday, and it looks like Sunday Pants is off the schedule for this week (E3 is on in its place at 9:30).

Don't know if it's just for this week...or for good...

Can't think of anything more to say without thinking about jokes about "Ben Pantsed" or that Camp Lazlo episode where everybody gets "pantsed."

Do you mean the video game thing or the Eds, because if they interupt it for Ed Edd and Edy I will be so mad.

It's the Eds. Definitely the Eds.

And it's there the next week too. Wow, only 5 weeks and gone already.

If that's what they really thought then Sunday Pants would never have been put on the air in the first place.

So, anyone got any plausable reasons for this? Did they really run out of shows this early in?

That couldn't be because it had episodes scheduled for the entire month. And if that really were the reason, they could have just popped in a rerun.

This has been quite a bad week for CN's public image, if you ask me.

Does anyone know of any sites where the Imp miniseries and Weighty Decisions can be aired? I'm pretty sure the creators hold the rights to each series, not the network.

My guess is that the ratings were pretty low (just guessing). My further guess is that it will return in January when this quarter/holiday season is over and ratings aren't as important.

And just when they had something with originality.

Sure, 2/3 of the show was rather lousy, but it had the originality that CN has been lacking.

Oh well, CN is dead and it's not waking up.

Darn it!

I never got the chance to see it, and just when I think I'll be able to, they pull it!

I think I speak for at least a few people when I say:
CARTOON NETWORK SUCKS!

And, I think I can take back my "Cartoon Network doesn't suck" comment now. Because, in all actuality, they do.

The problem with Cartoon Network is that they can't make up their minds.

Here is the word on Sunday Pants, most importantly though: It is not cancelled. Sunday Pants will be back in January.

Ratings for the series started out really low compared to what the timeslot usually gets and then they dropped farther after that. Thus, it has been pulled from the schedule until after the holiday season. Plus, considering the numerous shorts involved in the series, not all of them are done at the same time. The delay will allow the network to hopefully show completely fresh episodes without some segements being repeats.

Basically, this is the time of year when CN makes the most money due to the holiday season; similar opportunities doen't exist for the rest of the year. If CN doesn't make money now there won't be as much money for new programming later on. Thus, some things get pushed back. Sunday Pants will return, it just won't air for the next couple months.

Now I just hope Desperate Housewive is in rerun this January so that I can get the television from my wife!

Good, at least it's coming back, although it'll be tough waiting for more Weighty Decisions and Travel Logs.

That's good to hear. However, and I hate to be overly pessimistic, but I really hope they don't say "aw screw it, what we've got on now is working and Sunday Pants wasn't" come January.

Well, anyway, my "CARTOON NETWORK SUCKS!" is partially withdrawn. I'll just have to have faith that they follow through.

It'll be back, they believe in the show. Plus, there is still more material to air and more being made for the show.

Actually, they did factor in the other demographics. Sadly, ratings were way down not only with kids, but also with teens and adults.

Believe what you want man. Perhaps older folks just weren't interested in Sunday Pants. It's a cool show, but I'd bet it isn't exactly the kind of thing that is going to catch on with most folks unfortunately. I've done some searching and such, but I can't remember what previously aired in that timeslot. It could have been Puffy, but I at least don't think Juniper Lee ever aired that late on Sundays. All I can specifically remember is that the hour that followed at the time was Teen Titans/Naruto.
