I think we can all figure what happens in tonight's episode:
1) The Saturdays fight against Rani Nagi and her forces 2) Zak struggles to keep control of his powers and eventually uses them to stop the cryptids and if we're lucky 3) Doyle finds Argost, who (if he doesn't already know) extracts the secret of Zak being Kur from him and begins to make new plans. I do hope this whole Zak-is-Kur thing will be the center point of the season. After 26 episodes of searching only for it to be resolved within two episodes would seem like a burn to me. |

I believe Jay Stephens said that this season would be it's own story arc just like the first 26 episodes.
Really, I doubt the show's writers are just going to neatly end the entire Zak-is-Kur saga right here and just forget about it -- they're far better than that! Considering the shortened 10-episode order for this season, I'd imagine that the writers would want to make every episode counted in somehow furthering the story arc and be less inclined towards standalone stories (which were common during the original 26-episode order... though I'd argue that even those contributed something in terms of character development and relationships). Maybe some aspects of Zak's heritage as Kur will be resolved in tonight's episode, but at the same time, new problems and challenges should arise and persist throughout the season. |

Well, the nagas attack New York. I wonder how that'll get covered up, if it does. (and my first thoughts about it were, "Oh, snap. Percy Jackson will be so annoyed.")

So Zak made a devil deal with Argost, and it is going down to who can out wit who. Interesting.
I love the last line of the episode by Fisk "Say what". Couldn't have said it better myself. |

Well, talk about intense. So Argost is going to be training Zak to control his Kur powers through cryptic means. Somehow, I don't think it's going to be pretty when the rest of the family finds out. Somehow, I get the feeling that Zak will somehow be playing a part in Argost's new master plan, which will probably make itself known in the last few episodes. Despite all the tension and the secrets, it was an excellent episode.
However, When I read that, I was lead to believe that Zak tore the Nagas apart! |

Drew was the definition of awsome in this episode. I loved her "My son might be the kid who can either kill the world or save it but I still love him" atitude.

Oh yes, V.V. Argost = Very Very Awesome. Who wrote that speech to Zak about manipulating him and breaking him? I hope they get a bonus in their next paycheck.
![]() The bit with the Naga attack was a little weak. I love how we were tricked as to the victim city (they show them in the sewers and then elect to check the sewers), but the Saturday airship can max out at... What speed? Even if it could do mach two it would take them five hours to fly from Hong Kong to New York. And you're telling me that the military didn't get a single heavy infantry company or armor platoon on site in that amount of time? Not one flight of gunships? I'm sorry, but you've offended my delicate sensibilities on that one. ![]() All was forgiven after Argost's re-introduction though. DARN RIGHT SON! Oh, yes, we're loving Argost. The Van Rook fans are probably liking season three a lot less though... Does he get back in shape before the end of the season? And he really needs to get his helmet back...

Well so far this season, I am digging Zak more than that other hero from the show on Friday nights. For all that is happening, he seems to have his head on right. And I don't think arrogance will be his down fall, like the other hero.

That's was a good plot twist not to mention a great entrance from Argost. I seriously didn't expect that from Argost but it's good since they change the whole "Little Saturday, now that i'm in the game again i will hunt you like the rest" Tho it's obvious he wants to train Zak so he can control him but we have to wait until that, i bet Argost has more plans for Zak.

The artwork and voices were great again. I loved every minute of Argost's appearance and enjoyed the scene where Zon tackled Van Rook.

Well, I think I can surmise what will be happening the remainder of the season. Argost will be sending Zak cryptic clues which he'll need to figure out to learn about his powers, which will help him to resolve whatever mission the Saturdays are on. Interesting. However, I don't look forward to when knowledge of Zak's deal gets out. Also, Jeff, I gotta ask two questions:
1) Have we seen the last of the Nagas 2) What did Zak want with all that info on Argost? |
