"Tim and Eric" Movie in the Works

In an interview at Huffington Post with Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim (I had no idea they did non-political articles), it's revealed that they have a movie being planned. Here's the quotes mentioning it in the article:

Quote:
Life imitating art, the two are on their way to the next plateau with an upcoming film produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay called Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie.
Quote:
Is it true that you're making a movie?

EW: Absolutely. It called Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie, produced by Gary Sanchez, who is Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. Huge.

Can you offer any details?

EW: The paperwork's not done. We're still working on the deal, but it's confirmed. It's as good as gold.
So yeah, something may or may not be coming it seems. I never expected a second Adult Swim film and certainly not one about Tim and Eric.

Found via Adult Swim's Twitter feed.

Yeah, they mentioned this in a T&E article in Wired. They also said that season 5 will probably be the last season, and that they're currently pitching a Tommy Wisseau (that guy who directed The Room) series.

A Tim and Eric Movie?

With Will Ferrell producing?

What did America do to deserve this?

Seriously? this better end up being a straight-to-DVD movie, I'd probably be a disaster in the box office...

I'm glad Season 5 might be the last though...

OK, I know pretty much everybody here hates Tim & Eric, but I personally like them. So, I can't wait for it! (hides behind a table)

So this is the world ending event the Mayains predicted huh. I kid, but seriously A T&E movie, man there must be a lot of...how do i put this nicely, "easily entertained Adults" out there. I really don't see why they would give THIS of all AS series a movie.

(What about Venture bros. Metacolypse or Robot chicken? surly there more desrving of a movie, be it theatre or direct to DVD.)

Wait wasn't there also suppose to be a sequal to the ATHF movie coming out as well? At some point by 2011? Wouldn't that movie come before this one, or was the second ATHF just a rumor that didn't have any validty towards it? (That reminds me I also heard there was suppose to be a Robot Chicken movie but I think THAT was just a rumor. From what I heard the second ATHF movie had some sort of validty towards it).

More deseriving? Sure? More accesible then Tim and Eric? You bet. Would they make for a better, thrilling more action pack or interesting movie? Of course. Could they actually hold our attention for 90 full on minutes? Defintley (At least for Venture Brothers. RC would still probably be skits and Metalocalypse could got a full 90 minutes but the formula may run dry after awhile).

I haven't watched Tim and Eric since Season 2 disgusted me far too much to keep watching so I obviously would not be interested in them getting a movie. But for the fans of them (one of my friends is a fan actually) hopefully they'll have a worthwhile movie debut if this ends up actually being true.

It's still in production. They mentioned it at DragonCon.

Help me figure this out scientifically. Exactly how many ounces of marijuana does one have to smoke before they "get" Tim and Eric?

And comedy continues to roll in its grave.

Ugh doesn't even begin to describe it.

I'm actually really excited about this. Now I get to see film critics rake Tim and Eric over the coals and they'll finally figure out that they're nothing but fat, untalented dorks.

Let's see. I love Aqua Teen Hunger Force. It's good in small, fifteen minute doses. The movie, in my opinion, was terrible because it was too much of that kind of humor for one sitting. I actually have to watch the movie in short bursts and stop until another day.

A Tim And Eric movie? Even the show's fifteen minutes seems too long for "that" humor. A movie? Watching their "comedy" for straight over an hour sounds like some kind of sick torture.

Making a movie based on this show would be easy.

Take 7 episodes and splice them together.

There you go. Movie.

Now all we need are movies for In Living Color and Saturday Night Live ske--er, scratch that last one.

I can barely stomach Tim and Eric commercials, let alone the entire show. Now they're making a movie? Seriously, who finds this funny?

Tim and Eric has its moments of hilarity, but I do agree with you. A lot of their skits fall flat and are generally unfunny. A movie is not necessary.

But it could be worse. Imagine a 20 Oz Mouse, Assy McGee, Saul of the Mole Men or Squidbillies Movie. Ack.

Spoiler:
And Xavier: Renegade Angel. As much as I like the show, an Xavier movie would be the most disturbing and trippy film in the history of cinema. Is that good or bad?

This will probably get a limited release, like the Aqua Teen movie did.

I can already predict the opening night. stoners crawling out from all crevices and basements laughing at a weed enhanced acid trip. Then later totally forgotten about. Sketch shows don't need movies.

Beats me. I turned into their show once and then felt enraged about having lost five minutes of my life.
