Your favorite facial expressions (Image Warning)

One thing I've always loved about cartoons is the facial expressions characters give off in any given situation - wild and wacky, or reserved and quiet. Feel free to post screencaps to better express your favorites. Also, please explain why!

mods can merge this theard with this one

----

Surf's Up - (screencaps taken from my iTunes - you can buy the movie there)

I love Cody Maverick's deadpan expressions. He does quite a lot of them during the movie - to Cody's defense, he's gone through a lot of crap on Pen Gu Island (and his whole life in general). He doesn't even give a sigh of annoyance - you can just see it in his face.

Here's a good example when he is training with the Geek
Spoiler:
who now revealed his identity as Big Z

I think we've all had that face at one point, amirite?

----

Over the Hedge - (screencaps from my fullscreen DVD)

Spoiler'd because both scenes are from the near-end of the movie and I give away the suprise to say the context of the scene (also, big images):

Spoiler:
The Verminator catches the animals while RJ runs off to meet with Vincent the Bear - RJ ends up having a change of heart and goes to save his friends.

I have no emontional reasonings behind RJ Raccoon's expressions here - they make me lmao really hard, however. I love how his eyes go huge and bright and the way his jaw juts out in the second image. And the girly scream he emits both times. Omfg, the girly screams xDDDD

----

Well that's all I have for now - what are yours?

The expression on William's face is just hysterical.

Which one's William?

Here's a frustrated face I just noticed when I watched "Marooned" from Ren and Stimpy:

not exactly an expression, but really more of a suggestive Pose...

I randomly pause while watching the Tiny Toons Intro on YT and manage to capture this:

and quick question, how do I insert Spoilers?

Classic Batman.

And... I don't like the show or this episode.... but why not?

Looking at that old thread, I see my first attempt didn't go over so well. Now, with renewed vigor I shall try again:

Do I need to really explain? I mean, they kinda speak for themselves.

One Piece could have an entire thread dedicated to great facial expressions. One Piece is a goldmine for that stuff.

This is the funniest expression a character has ever had on the Simpsons. It gives off the clueless, dimwit vibe perfectly.

... He also has a foam cowboy hat and air horn.

Handsome faces like these two always make me laugh. They're just so chiseled and serious looking that it seems ridiculous on the short, exagerrated bodies of cartoon characters.

Classic Simpsons experimented with the characters animations a lot more than they do now. Some of them were just so over the top they stand out in every episode they're featured.

I like to think of the SpongeBob series as the king of reaction faces. I don't think it's possible to look at any of these and not smile a bit.

Here's a few misc. ones from The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack:

Spoiler:

And all of these came from one episode, "K'nuckles and His Hilarious Problem"
(I do not find this episode hilarious at all, but still one of my favorites)

Spoiler:

It interests me how Flapjack can contrast itself so much,
mixing in adorable faces and moments like the last picture,
and then shoving grotesque and creepy images into your face that you know you'll see again in nightmares.

All of these are funny (or in the case of the Stimpy's Cartoon Show pic, emotional) expressions that can potentially be enjoyed even if you don't know the context of the scene.

Bolt's heat vision stare was really the only thing I liked about Bolt - wasn't a bad movie per say, but it was so boring

Here are some facial expressions from some of my favourite characters:

Yui from K-On, doing the most classic facial expression in anime, the blank white eyes look:

Izzy from the Total Drama series, doing some sort of "knocked out" face:
