Glad that this show is in a later time slot. If I have to work on Monday nights, I no longer have to rush home right after work to watch it (the show's over by the time I get home.)

Anyway, Sheldon and the guys were funny tonight. And Sheldon's mom was a real pistol.

Best Line: "Can't say prayer don't work!" (or something like that).

A welcome return. I'll have to adjust to the later showtime (it used to come on at 7PM here because out CBS affiliate starts the primetime schedule an hour earlier), but my Monday evenings can be full of laughs again. Was nice to see Sheldon's mom again (Laurie Metcalf is great!), and "Damn his Vulcan hearing" was funny. So was Sheldon's Force choke attempt, though I wish we could have seen him in that Darth Vader helmet.

And oh man, Kaley Cuoco is hot!

Glad my favorite show is back, and it didn't disappoint. Sheldon was awesome as ever, he should have won the emmy, ans were Raj and Howard. I love how they went on stereotypes in Texas. I loved when they said Howard looked like he was out of Toy Story.

I saw on my cable guide that Lewis Black guest stars tonight. This should be fun!

Howard and Raj in a Goth club should be fun. I hope we see some hot goth chicks though.

I'm curious where they are going with Penny/Leonard. They seem to be in a "friends with benefits" phase and are not ready to have a relationship.

What's weird is they got weirded out by having sex even though they have such great chemistry together and were scared of going beyond being friends. But this all started because they couldn't just stay friends in the first place. Why don't they start actually being a couple instead of worrying about the sex? When they went on their first date it actually was good. They should just start dating each other and stop worrying about the sex for a while.

Just caught up on Big Bang episodes, and I must say, it hasn't been a particularly great season so far. The Lewis Black cameo was particularly annoying. It always takes me out of a show when known "comedians" like that come on just to more or less play themselves. It's not that Black can't sometimes be funny, but he's become almost a Gilbert Godfried sort of character.

Other than Sheldon's eternal awesomeness, there hasn't been much to get excited about. Penny and Sheldon as a couple is completely unwatchable, and Raj and Howard's subplots tend to border on outright tediousness. Last season took a while to hit its stride, though, so maybe things will get better.

Really? I thought the Wil Whedon episode was absolutely hilarious, and a couple of the other ones this season have been great, too.

I've yet to see an episode of this show that has left me disappointed. As said, the Wil Wheaton episode was great and already a highlight of this season.

In related news, I read the other day that the audience for the show has jumped by about 40% thanks to the new timeslot, so that's great to hear!

Must have been a last-minute change or something? Because that was not the episode that aired, although the title is right.

Soon The Big Bang Theory will be the #1 show in America and will surpass even Seinfeld itself.

After the somewhat pedestrian start to the season, this week's unexpectedly abrupt switch to full-on awesomeness nearly gave me comedy whiplash. What a magnificent episode. I've always been a fan of Penny and Sheldon's non-romantic relationship, so when the episode started with the rest of the gang camping without Sheldon, I knew we were in for a good one, and it more than lived up to my expectations.

The premise was kind of uninspired, but they made the absolute most of an idea lesser shows would, and have mangled. It's hard to pinpoint a best moment in an episode with such wall-to-wall brilliance, but I think it peaked around the point where Sheldon was filling out Penny's form in the emergency room and "diagnosed" her with Tourette's. Not the most sophisticated gag of all time, but the timing and delivery was pitch-perfect.

And as much as I enjoyed the rest of the nerds being mostly out of the picture, their little subplot was surprisingly funny. Even the outstanding Entourage fumbled badly when they tried a stoned-in-the-desert episode last season, so this was another small triumph for Big Bang, which reclaims its spot as the funniest show on TV. The 30 Rock writers could learn a thing or two about pacing from these guys.

Oh, and Sheldon and Penny's Soft Kitty duet is my new ring tone.

More, please.
