C&C - Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit - "Knot" [9/19]

We return to canonical material this week with this epusode, which I believe revolves around Torogai.

Last time ion Moribito:

Spoiler:
Balsa's lucha match in episode 12 comes back to bite her as an old foe reappears. He threatens to expose Chagum and kill the travelers to pass through a certain gate at sunrise unless Balsa fights him to the death. Balsa makes an attempt to protect a teacher and apprentice pair in the next morning, and is harassed by a stone shooter. The next day Balsa loses all patience and challenges her old rival, and he and Balsa begin their duel. Eventually, Balsa is forced to make a killing blow, and walks away believing she killed him, when, in fact, all she did was completely break his spirit.

I hope you enjoy this new episode. Again, there will not be a new OP, and while a new ED wouldn't be shown here anyway, there isn't a new ED theme either.

Well, last weeks episode was pretty exciting. Let's hope the trend continues.

Aaaaaaand the old lady is talking to the creature from the Black Lagoon. Well, it's certainly off to an interesting start.

Last time: A Beau Billingslea character didn't really die, and now Balsa's all bitter about it.

Sorry, I didn't quite catch that. And not just because we're underwater.

So Chagum's little water baby makes clouds in both the real world and that messed-up world we saw four episodes ago.

And now we have an old woman submerged upside-down somewhere talking to some sea creatures.

Hmm, I'm actually quite digging that underwater world.

And now a Japanese history lesson. Are we going to be tested on this?

Whoa. That was nasty.

Huh, haven't seen these guys for a while.

So Chagum's water egg ISN'T the demon he is sentenced to death for carrying? What a twist.

Holy scriptures in the wrong hands...a dangerous weapon.

Hey, any death you can walk away from.

Looks like that river kami from Spirited Away needs another bath.

Okay, I'm not even gonna ask how the old woman ended up in that pit of oil.

So the government has been lying about Japan's history? Well, I'm sure that would NEVER happen anywhere else. Certainly not in America.

Everything you know is wrong.
Black is white, up is down, and short is long.
Just forget the words and sing along
'Cause everything you know is wrooooong!

Uh-oh, it's the batcave. LOL, bat dung XD

Geez, I hope Balsa and Chagum appreciate everything she's doing for them.

Oh, so that's how she got into the charcoal pit.

Any conspiracy where a lottle boy has to die is not a very good conspiracy.

Why would you want to kill something that gives you water? You wouldn't get fined for filling up your pool.

Wheeee! Water park! It's fun!!

Aww man, why the rabbit?!

Centuries of tradition and folklore can't be wrong!

Oh dear. Guess who's just come back from the bathroom.

Sorry sonny, you know too much.
You were always my best student. But now I realize you were a little too good of one.

Hmm, looks like Gandalf the Grey has walked onto the set.

And the shows ends with epic stair descending. Hoorah.

It's a good thing I was actually paying attention to the conversations in this episode and got that the history everyone was taught was all a lie. If I drifted off, I probably would have thought that the history lesson was right... and be confused for episodes. Nice episode, especially since it wasn't another "A Day in the Life of Balsa and Chagum". Not that they were bad, but, come on, move the plot already.

Is it me, or have the talkbacks for this show started picking up since they put it back on?

Very interesting, looks like this isn't just a mistake by the Mikato. Now as to who it is and why. And what's up with the Master Star Reader? If he is part of all of this, why did he have the younger star reader go down there to investigate.
Will be tuning in next week..

And one more thing...
