Haven't seen an episode of Dinosaur King in literally, about two years now. Before heading off to work this morning, I decided to DVR it just for the hell of it. I remember stop watching the series and thinking about how the show had made virtually no progression over the span of about twenty episodes. Things have definitely changed since then. It's actually quite an entertaining anime series.
Just out of curiosity, is the next episode going to be the series finale or will it be the season finale? Has 4Kids definitely signed the show onto another season? For the record, I already have next week's episode set to be recorded. Good stuff. |

This was a pretty nice episode. I liked seeing how Seth was even more of a threat with using his new dinosaur to destroy the city. I also liked how the Alpha Gang and D-Team had to work together. I didn't think that Dr. Z would refuse to apologize for his actions towards Rex and his birth parents. Seth showed how cold he was for forcing Max and Rex to give up their dino holders. It was funny how they were all squeezed into the tiny plane and then they had to get rid of Ursula, Ed and Zander. They did a good job getting in, but it was too bad that they were caught so soon too. I was so happy to see Helga was still there. I was worried that she was destroyed after saving the Alpha Gang. The brief battle with Seth's other dinosaur was pretty cool. I liked seeing that fusion move between Chomp and Ace. For a second, I actually thought that the Black T-Rex was going to eat Dr. Z, but then Rex came to save him at the last moment. It was a touching scene since despite all that he did to his family and friends, he still didn't think he deserved to be eaten. It was nice that Dr. Z finally said that he was sorry. Too bad that they still have to deal with Seth. Overall, it was a pretty good episode. Now that they have all thirty-seven cards, they'll have to go after that Black T-Rex. I'm really looking foreword to the next new episode to see what happens. |

I'm glad they decided to cut off the series earlier this year and save these episodes for the "next season." That was a really abrupt ending for the first series.
The dinosaurs are getting armor and stuff next season? I have a feeling this is going to be really cool. Say, how long is the second series anyway?

I thought that this was a really nice episode. I liked seeing how the D-Team and Alpha Gang continued to work together. I laughed when Dr. Z was being used as live-bait. It was surprising that Max and Chomp fell like that since the characters aren't usually in danger like that. I was glad that they were using all of their dinosaurs to defeat Black T-Rex since they didn't use any of them beforehand. Even Dr. Taylor got in on the fun.
I didn't expect Seth's machine to change the city back to prehistoric style. That was a little twist. The super fusion moves were pretty cool too. I thought that it was so cute how Chomp was biting Seth's arm like that. Seth getting stuck into that time warp was another twist. While the idea of what would have happened if the dinosaurs didn't die out is interesting, he was going about it the wrong way. I was confused on how Rex's birth parents got there since I thought that they disappeared into a different time. I thought that Rex's reunion with them was so touching. I actually thought that he wouldn't want to leave since he all he ever knew was in this time period, not where his parents are from. It was sad how the kids had to say goodbye to their dinosaurs, especially for Max, but knowing that there is a second series made me not feel so bad for them. I was also surprised that Rex didn't tell his adopted father about what happened. At least Rod and Laura will hopefully see their parents again. It was nice to see Max and Zoey hoping that they would see their friends again and then we get that cliffhanger ending. In retrospect, it would have been much worse to stop airing new episodes a few months ago with this ending. The preview for the second series looked really cool, especially for the dinosaur armor. Overall, it was a nice and touching episode. I'm really looking foreword to seeing the new series next week. |
