Urban designer Johnny Cupcakes to make Looney Tunes t-shirts for WB Consumer Products

http://www.cartoonbrew.com/old-brew/...ney-tunes.html

Quote:
Warner Bros. Consumer Products has entered into a licensing agreement with urban clothing designer Johnny Cupcakes to produce a line of limited edition T-shirts featuring the Looney Tunes characters. The new t-shirts will be available ($40 each) beginning this month at Johnny Cupcakes stores in LA, Boston and Hull, Mass as well as online. More info to come via the Johnny Cupcakes blog.
Hm, $40 is a bit much for a t-shirt, don't you think?
In any case, I don'tt this is going to have a huge impact, but hopefully this "rebrand" (I guess) will bring Looney Tunes back to the public eye and make them popular again...or at least beloved by today's generation of kids.

I think this could be a very good thing! Even if the Looney Tunes are just perceived by kids as "retro cool", that's still a step towards reaffirming their spot in the public consciousness. Once the general populace starts going "Hey, remember Bugs Bunny?", the Looney Tunes name has a good shot at being revived.

Well, he does do plenty of cupcake designs, they're just on shirts and unedible. I mean, unless you're into eating shirts, in which case, more power to you.

I thought that was just a name. Huh. Go figure.
In any case, here's to hoping that these will bring the Looney Tunes back!
