Just got mine from Target for 19.99, but I'll probably end up waiting until tomorrow night when I can properly marathon them all in one sitting. I just hope that S2 gets a proper season set release down the road.

Hopefully my stores will still have this by next week, had to choose Watchmen over this. Set looks really awesome, though.

I got it and the extras blow. This is pretty bare bones.

So the extras suck, huh? Guess I'll be sticking with the single volumes.

I'm slightly disappointed there's no slipcase cover, I enjoyed what there was of bonus features but am disappointed that there's really not even 20 minutes of it when they said they filmed over 2 hours of behind the scenes footage.

DDubbs,

I have the single volumes and bought this because they said they had filmed over 2 hours of extras. There's about 10 minutes worth. I'm really annoyed I spent the money on it.

If sales are really high for the first season set, there is a good chance Sony will put more polish on the second season set when it is released.

At least I'll be saving a bit of space on my shelf. I ordered my copy this morning on deepdiscount.com, taking advantage of the 25% off sale.

Mine is on it's way, somehow FYE.com already had a used copy this morning, which I bought using a 20% off coupon for a total of $12.

I don't mind the lack of extras - two little featurettes are good enough for me, particularly when it's so cheap. $19 for a full season is an absolute steal.

...too bad I need to pick up One Piece, Pokemon Platinum, and other such stuff first.

I went to four different places( HMV, Best Buy, Future Shop, and Toys 'R Us ) and not one of them had a copy. I went in the morning so maybe they didn't have it on display yet, which kind of sucks as I had no problem finding other new releases on display

I've been off the boards for a while. Clarification:

I read a long time ago that the individual releases are widescreen vs S1 full-screen. Also the eps run longer and have unedited material vs the S1 tv-edited episodes. If that's the case I'll snag the volumes over the season set.

Am I wrong?

Not sure about the widescreen thing, but only the first volume has the extra footage and movie format. Sony decided to scrap that soon after and the other 3 volumes are just the TV versions with no extra footage.

The only thing changed in the first single disc volume is that the gunfire sounds authentic as opposed to the lasers and the day to night transition. So no deleted scenes added in.

The Season Sets would be better since:

1. You have 6-7 episodes per disc as opposed to the 3-4 episodes per disc.

2. Takes up less shelf space.

Just got the dvd. Watched a bit of it and the special features.
Nothing to report on the show. I love it.

However the dvd extras are groan worthy.
I liked the "Spider-man: Re-Animated" one mainly because I always have wondered what some of the voice actors looked like and wanted to see them in action.
The other extra was repetitive, and basically restated alot of things I already knew.

Since you say you watched it, the episodes are in widescreen format, right?
