"Nemi Returns" Talkback

http://www.platypuscomix.net/otherpe...mireturns.html

I had to do it again. Nemi isn't just good, she's groin-grabbingly good, and I brought evidence of that.

Oh, the faces! This article will definitely come in handy for artistic reference down the road, that's for sure.

I think "Cookie Monster" would have been funnier than "Big Bird".

Nemi's "little smile" made me lol. For srs.

"Does Death really look like that in your world?" Yeah, I can see why you like this strip!

Changing foreign references to something more familiar to a specific demographic is very confusing. This is why I only watch the Japanese version of "Pokémon" now.

Great stuff. I remember the first Nemi article, and this one is more of the same. If Nemi could find the right home in America, I'm sure she'd be loved here as well. (I'm still holding out hope for America to discover Brazil's answer to Walt Disney and Charles Schulz in terms of characters created, popularity and merchandising, Mauricio de Sousa. He's been doing it for 50 years, so he must be doing something right! And some of his stuff is actually pretty good as far as kiddie comics go- though I'm a sucker for fourth-wall stuff anyway.)

I'm checking out the site you linked where the Nemi comics are hosted. I really want to change my mind from the way you enthusiastically talk about both her and the comic because from the previews you've shown on your site, I'm actually not liking Nemi. She sounds whiny and demanding, as if her way is the only way and all else can either be shouted at or physically abused under her fist.

Here's hoping I'll change my mind on either her or just the comic in general. I will say the artwork is very eye-pleasing with some great coloring.

I really, really like this so far. Not just because she's hot.
