CAPTAIN AMERICA: WHO WILL WIELD THE SHIELD?
ULTIMATE COMICS AVENGERS #5 AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #614-616 PUNISHER #12 PUNISHERMAX #2 i knew i wasn't get alot of marvel, but this is pretty sad. i'm glad i'm saving money, but marvel needs to get top name writers and artists on their flagship characters for me to be interested in them (which is exacly what dc has been and is doing). i won't be surprised if the day comes that the only marvel comic i'll be getting is the punisher (regular).

My comments:
- I am vaguely interested in Black Widow & the Marvel Girls, but only because it's such an odd property to build around and because I usually like Paul Tobin's work. - I can totally get behind pre-ordering Ed Hannigan: Covered for all kinds of reasons. - My goodness, I hate this cover. - I think I am going to pre-order that Mini-Marvels Ultimate Collection TPB. - Probably also pre-ordering the Agents of Atlas TPB and hoping it will tell me what I need to know about Dark Reign to get up to speed. - I really really enjoyed X-Men/Spider-Man, and can definitely recommend the TPB if you're a fan of either one. It was a neat fits-between-the-stories mini-series that's respectful of the old stories while building on them in logical ways, with some seriously great European-style artwork.

Getting
-Captain America: Who Will Wield the Shield?: Why isn’t any of this taking place in the main Cap comic? It’s not like this and Cap is coming out. If Cap’s on hiatus, why not put this there? They just put it over 600, too. Capitalize on that! -Ultimate Comics Avengers #5: I wonder if this will be like Millar’s run where the story arcs are 12+ issues, or like Loeb’s at 5. -New Avengers #60: Of all the characters to make them “not keep it together,” it’s Luke Cage? Wha? -New Avengers Annual #3: Really not the route I thought they’d take as a follow up to The List. -Deadpool #18: This storyline can go so horribly wrong in such a good way. May Get/Not Getting But Worth Note -Siege: The Cabal: Ugh. I’m one of those people that liked Dark Reign. Hate to see it go. -Marvelous Land of Oz #2 (of 8): Skottie Young is so awesome. I may pick up these Oz trades just because of him. -Amazing Spider-Man #616: Very cool cover. Why hasn’t anyone thought about that before? -Spider-Man & The Secret Wars #1 (of 4): That cover needs to be a poster. It’s totally screaming for that. -Cable #21: So, what? Has Hope aged a year an issue? That’s kinda stretching it, time travel or no. -X-Babies #3: See: “Skottie Young Is Awesome” comment. -Mini Marvels Ultimate Collection TPB: Depends on how much of this I already have. If I don’t, then I’m always down for some Mini Marvels.

SIEGE: THE CABAL - Interesting...
ULTIMATE COMICS AVENGERS #5 ULTIMATE COMICS SPIDER-MAN #5 - Ugh, I really dislike Peter's hair in the relaunched book. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #614-616 - Really looking forward to "The Gauntlet", it looks like it just might become a classic And here are some extra reasons to look forward to it for!WEB OF SPIDER-MAN #3 SPIDER-MAN & THE SECRET WARS #1 - I always thought that was a pretty cool scene in the original maxi-series! SPIDER-MAN: THE CLONE SAGA #4 DAREDEVIL #503 DARK AVENGERS #12 DARK AVENGERS ANNUAL #1 INCREDIBLE HULK #605 NEW AVENGERS #60 - Nah, no way that is going to happen. NEW AVENGERS ANNUAL #3 - This should be fun! PUNISHER #12 THUNDERBOLTS #139 WHAT IF? WORLD WAR HULK - Loving all of the scenarios listed here ![]() WHAT IF? SPIDER-MAN: HOUSE OF M - Wow, after 4.5 years they finally decide to address the "Gwen Stacy being Peter's wife in his ideal fantasy world" thing. Interesting scenarios here as well. Plus: Sean McKeever and Terry Dodson? Oh . . .Yeah! WHAT IF? SECRET INVASION - I especially like the "What if it stayed 'secret'?" one! GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY #21 DARK X-MEN #2 - If it's only for five issues I guess I can manage to pick this up, seeing as I've enjoyed the "Dark X-Men" one-shots so far. DEADPOOL #18 DEADPOOL: MERC WITH A MOUTH #6 Maybe / Maybe not ---------- CAPTAIN AMERICA: WHO WILL WIELD THE SHIELD? - I don't normally follow Captain America, but I'd like to read this. Not only for its outcome and for mainstream continuity, but it should prove interesting as well ![]() HULK #18 SPIDER-WOMAN #4 POWERS #2 DEADPOOL TEAM-UP #898 - So they're counting down...?

On the "definitely going to get" list:
Incredible Hulk #605 Official Index to the Marvel Universe #12 What If: Astonishing X-Men, (one-shot) What If: World War Hulk, (one-shot) What If: Daredevil vs. Elektra What If: Spider-Man - House of M What If: Secret Invasion: I LOVE the annual "What if" stories...they're like my yearly comic Christmas treat. Guardians of the Galaxy #21 Nova #32 Punisher Max #2: Yeah, I'm on board for this. On the "maybe I'll get it, maybe I won't" list: Siege: The Cabal: And the next mega-event begins... Fall of the Hulks: Alpha Fall of the Hulks: Gamma: I'm probably going to get into the upcoming Hulk event, (considering the Hulk corner of the Marvel universe is one of the few corners I still collect). Realm of Kings: Imperial Guard #2 Realm of Kings: Inhumans #2: I'm also still into the "cosmic" corner of the Marvel universe, but we'll see what the budget allows... On the "Definently going to read on the Marvel Digital Comics Database" list, (whenever they eventually get put up on the website): Avengers: The Initiative #31: Why does a cover showing a man with prestige and power always involve scantily clad women draped all over a man? Oh well, at least most covers like this don't feature the man with a skull for a face... Captain America: Who Will Wield the SHIELD Amazing Spider-Man #614-616 Web of Spider-Man #3 Spider-Man and the Secret Wars #1: What's the point of this? Oh well, I'll still read it online... Spider-Man: The Clone Saga #4: This is kind of "What's the point" as well, but it's Tom DeFalco, so I'll read it eventually... Black Widow: Deadly Origin #2 Dark Avengers: Ares #3 Daredevil #503 Dark Avengers #12 Dark Avengers Annual #1 Doctor Voodoo: Avenger of the Supernatural #3 Black Widow and the Marvel Girls #1 and 2 Fantastic Four #574 Invincible Iron Man #21 Hulk #18 Incredible Hercules #139 Hulk: Winter Guard, (one-shot) Ghost Rider: Heaven's on Fire #5 Iron Man vs Whiplash #2 Mighty Avengers #32 Ms. Marvel #48 Nomad: Girl Without a Home #4 New Avengers #60 New Avengers Annual #3 Vengeance of the Moon Knight #4 Secret Warriors #11 Spider-Woman #4 Strange #2 The Torch #4 Thor #605 Thunderbolts #139 Black Panther #11 Astonishing X-Men #33: Umm, ewww? And someone should tell Warren Ellis that Bio-Sentinels have been done before... Uncanny X-Men #518 and 519 Nation X #1 Dark X-Men #2 Cable #21 X-Force Annual #1 X-Men Legacy #230 and 231 X-Force #22: What the blazes is going on in this cover?!? New Mutants #8 X-Necrosha: The Gathering, (one-shot) Psylocke #2 S.W.O.R.D. #2 X-Factor #200 Dark Wolverine #81 Wolverine: Weapon X #8 Wolverine: Under the Boardwalk, (one-shot) Wolverine: Origins #43 Random Commentary: Why is Skottie Young wasting his time on Marvelous Land of Oz? Not that I want him to be the next artist on Dark Avengers, but I'd like to see him do something a little more mainstream...or something creator owned.
