These are up for pre-order at Amazon. The odd thing is that the 2-disc set is $1.00 cheaper than the single disc. LOL!

You forgot to mention James, that according to IMDB, he is also doing the score for Batman: Gotham Knight. Also, it says its in post-production.

BTW, on IMDB, it says Bruce Timm is involved on Gotham Knight too. Is that true?

Whoa.

So Gotham Knight is going to be like Animatrix? How many segments are there, or is it just those 6 segments?

Is Christian Bale invovled in the voice casting, and if so, what was it like working with the new live-action Batman?

The one last question I kinda have is how much of a connection will this be with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, or could it be treated like it was a stand alone almost?

Its nice to see Alan Burnett and Greg Rucka contributing to the DTV.I really wish that Christian Bale and the rest will be on board for the voice talent just to get the feel of that same universe.

Def looks like its going to be up there! AS far as animation, because Japanese animation is way better than USA animation! So to see batman in that style would be great!

Looks like Bruce Timm is back in the storyboarding business!
Its so awesome he is directing this.
It says to me, no matter what it won't suck.
Alan Burnett is also a must have on the team for a new Batman DTV!

Its nice to see animation projects that tie into genre movies.
Looks like WB took this idea out of the Lucasfilm play book.
That Clone Wars stuff was nice.
The show tied in great between AOTC & ROTS,
& still had a original style & substance of its own.
In that kind of way I hope Gotham Knight serves the Nolan films by creating a animation universe for them.

Gotham Knight now looks like something to pre-order for sure!
It seems they got a nice concept & a great team.

Again, its cool to see thoughtful anination practices applied when
trying to ape a movie. Clone Wars is the only one I can think of.
Batman TAS/Burton Films are close, but are not really connected.
TAS made use of the dark gothic vibe & some gadgets, but thats it.
One could also say the Burton films influenced the TAS Batmobile.
But as a whole Batman TAS was much more of its own original thing.
And thank God for that!
Batman TAS is much more timeless & will hold up forever!

No announcements of any kind have been made about the voice cast, so we don't really know either way yet.

If it's anime, the real question is "Will the mouths sync up with the dialogue?"

If Joker's gonna be in it just hope they hire Mark Hamill to do the voice.

Gotham Knight looks better than I thought. Bruce Timm directing with various Asian studios animating.

Sorry creativerealms that you dislike Peter Chung's style of animation, but I and many others do. I appreciated his whole revolutionary Aeon Flux series when it ran on MTV and apparently the Animatrix producers appriciated him enough to give him a segment as well (Matriculated)- I hope he has a segment in Gotham Knight as well.

Oh? I thought I read somewhere that it was confirmed the movie cast would be taking part, but maybe I'm just getting signals crossed. I figure they would, since most stars these days don't seem to mind throwing their voice in for a game/tie-in related to a big movie.
