It was a horribly bad translated line in an old video game full of horrible translations (that scene from the game is what the link Sard posted goes to).

A few years ago, it became an Internet fad, with everyone using it, parodying it, and basically just running it into the ground. Then, as with all trends, people got sick of it.

i had a dream, once, about the smurfs. it was abou a r-rated, live action movie trailer being played on a radio, and it starred lou ferig (guy who did incredible hulk in green makeup) as hefty smurf, and all the little smurfs lined up to romance smurfette as she went ooh, ooh ,ooh, all the time... gargamel won at the end, he ate them all, and he died....
