Any word on whether they'll be selling some stuff on eBay? In particular, if there's any Jonny Quest goodies?

I really don't know, it all depends on Universal. Don't rember any Johnny Quest stuff on the ride. Basically the ride went through the Flintstones, Scooby Doo, The Jetsons, and Yogi Bear but they did have a Hanna-Barbera store adjust to the ride.

Man, between that and the WB stores going bye-bye, it's a depressing day for those of us who like to collect cute junk with cartoon characters.

(And it wouldn't surprise me if there isn't any Jonny Quest stuff--I'd swear HB has been trying to disown the franchise for a few years now, even though it's the first American action cartoon and should be shown proper respect.)

I'll agree, a LOT of the comedy shows were bad. Just keep my Quests out of it! That series didn't suck until that bad 80s revival of the 60s series that tried to make it standard superhero-y instead of standard adventure-comic-strippy.

We're gonna need a whole 'nother bonfire for Scooby Doo & Scooby Wanna-bes, too. That's a biggie.

Aw, I'm gonna miss that ride!!! The last time I went to Universal Florida was way back in New Year's, 1990/91. I loved it and I'll never forget how much fun it really was!
    Best Kim Possible Dialogue:
    Kim(to Ron): You're weird.
    Ron(embarrassed) Kim.
    Kim: Shhh. I like weird.

    Most Memorable Winx Club Dialogue:
Dark Bloom: Why don't you fight?! Or is it because I'm more powerful than the five of you combined?!

Flora(furious at the Trix for hurting Rose): SHE WAS MY SISTER!!!!!

Makes sense, as AOL Time Warner keeps the characters all for themselves and only focuses on Scooby-Doo, but it sux, as that's the last the public may see of Yogi & Co. (not counting old cartoons on Bommerang, which can be seen on [thank god] Cartoon Network and [oh, god] digital cable).

If we don't see the characters and their friends back on TV in, say, about a few years, AOL Time Warner will surley get it (and, taking a fellow member's word for it, like they were in the old days; Yogi as a food kelptomaniac and Huck as a drifter, not able to hold on to one job).
I think Scooby-Doo is knida over-rated and all of the HB Dogs should be praised.
Wouldn't it be great if their could be more Peanuts specials on DVD?
It was just what my career needed - I was at the top and now I'm at the bottom.

Hanna-Babera characters still appear at Paramount Parks. Yogi, Hong Kong Phoobie, Cindy Bear, Boo Boo, Jabberjaw, Dino, Fred, Barney, Scooby, Quick Draw, and other rare characters. The Hanna-Babera has a long history with Kings Island in Cincinnati, Ohio ( It became a Paramount owned park in the 90's.) where there is a place called Hanna-Babera Land. The others park followed in and so on. I believe when Universal built this new park in Flordia they wanted some popular characters to fill their park with. During this time, Hanna-Babera (Before Turner and the Cartoon Network) were working on the Funtasic World of Hanna-Babera, an animated block of programming. I believe this was also used as cross promotion for the Jetsons movie that Universal released in 1989, I believe. If any body want to view the ride, there is a real audio video file of the ride at the above on the oringal post.

Since I mention Hanna-Babera Land, I mighty as well tell you what they have and have had in the past at Kings Island pickually. The land started with out, with a dark ride called Enhacted Vogage that took passages into the world of Hanna-Babera. There is the Hanna-Babera Caursol, which is still there with riding chacathers such as Scooby Doo, Jabberjaw, Dino, Yogi Bear and Fread Flintstones and his trolley. The old Hanna-Babera witch character had ride called the Witch's Cauldron ( basically a Tea-Cup ride). Scooby, Shaggy, and Scrappy owned the land for a while until the remodeling in 1995 and 1998. Scooby is still large with a total of 2 attraction: Scooby's Ghoster Coaster and Scooby Doo: Haunted House. If think of any more attraction I will post them.

Hanna Barbera was really a 70s institution. It's not surprising to see it start to fade away today. The only HB property still viable today that I can think of is Scooby Doo. Well, maybe Jonny Quest, or the Superfriends, but surely not much else.

As for Jabberjaw and company, they couldn't disappear fast enough for me.

    I loved that ride!
Now they're putting up a bland, flavor-of-the-month attraction in Neutron. Eh, it makes sense though. That theater is adjoined to the NICK Studios. Wait, didn't they fold NICK Studios in Orlando? I remember an auction and everything. Hmmm.

So this new ride will include Neutron, Bob, & the Rugrats. No surprise ZIM got the shaft here too. ):-/
