Dear CN, KidsWB, and Boomerang: ENOUGH!

    Like This Thread!
Agreed: The Powerpuff Girls is one of your finest original series of all time, with ample credit due to everyone involved in its creation and production, start to finish.

Agreed: The PPG feature film, despite the above, has been dreadfully mishandled by the multiplex theatre industry as a whole (most notably through showings exclusively in the daytime on many, many screens nationwide).

Agreed: The endless repetition of PPG commercials and promos on all three of your TV outlets, in "medleys" of two, three or more, before, during and after every show, is not only destroying any remaining appeal of the PPG movie to the general public, but also threatens to begin eroding the appeal of the series itself for both casual and returning viewers.

Therefore: In the best interests of everyone concerned, including yourselves, please put the brakes on this senseless promotional overkill now. You have an excellent animated property here, and it well deserves to keep that reputation beyond the run of its theatrical version.

I agree! I can't even watch Ed Edd n Eddy (one of CN's best shows ever, BTW!) without one popping up! I don't know a lot of people that like both PPG and EE&E!

Guy, what would you rather see? An ad for PPG or an ad for Kotex?

It's a commercial break. Regardless of what airs in it, it's ALWAYS going to be annoying.

Sure, CN has aired 51 PPG movie promos since last january and it was much overhyped. But, I'd rather see a PPG movie commercial than any other of those annoying childrens commercials (i.e. Baby Bottle Pops, Chuck E. Cheeses, Gushers, Fruit Roll-Ups, etc.) I'd enjoy this over advertised movie advertisements while they last. What other commercials does CN air.

BTW, During Adult Swim there aren't any more of those pesky childrens commercials. Thank God.

Commericals are the only reason there are TV shows. No one is giving anyone free money to produce a show, aside from the government to PBS.....but we give the government their money, so we're still paying some way. Anyways, the advertisers are what allows there to be a Cartoon Network in the first place. Plus its the network's first movie, they deserve to play the promos. You don't think Nick does the same thing when they have a movie? Please, all of your bite your touges and go see the movie again. LOL.

    Ditto!

And I definitely prefer seeing a PPG commercial to seeing a Chuck E. Cheese's commercial. But commercial's always go in seasons: whenever you watch, I guarantee that there will be at least one commercial which you will see 500 times. Overhype is the nature of the advertising beast.

Now, let's see ... what was the key point of my original post again? Ah! Here it is: Yes, many other advertising spots are run again and again and again ... but rarely, if ever, is the same commercial (and/or a matching one for the identical product) broadcast in triplicate, at every single break, during every single program on any one network's schedule.

No, not even for Kotex (sorry, Matt).

But as for T** P****p*** G***s movie, I'll at least allow that it might be a fresh and appealing choice again by the time it reappears in DVD and VHS form. Just as long as we only have to see the commercial once every 90 minutes or so.

    Thank you and good night.

Nobody is complaining about the actual Gushers; just the commercials.

BTW: The more accurate spelling is 'imbecile.'

Well one thingI can say is, that CN should retire "Ed, Edd "N' Eddy",as it's one of the WORST(in animated terms) animated shows I've seen in the last ten years or so.I mean, the humor is dry and the black outlines on the characters move more than the actual charcaters does.YUCK!

Well, that's your opinion. The animation is very impressive compared to other Cartoon Cartoons. Ed Edd n Eddy is Handmade and they don't take short cuts like many other shows do. As for the lines. It's a style of Animation. It's called squiggle vision. I think it seems quite fitting in this show. The humor is not DRY. Ed Edd n Eddy actually uses jokes that havent been used in Cartoons before. All of the jokes are hilarious. Maybe your just not a Slapstick kind of person? I don't know. But you don't have to Flame Ed Edd n Eddy like this. You could state your opinion nicely. -.-
