Cartoon Network Wartoon Marathon

Does anyone remember when they did that Wartoon Marathon on Cartoon Network? Where they showed all those Cartoons about WW II that they couldn't show anywhere else? They should seriously do that agin, cuz it was cool, and I looooove that "Gremlins from the Kremlin" song!

I think you are talking about the Wartime edition of Toonheads, which will air Sunday at 9 PM in honor of Memorial Day.

All of the Wartime Cartoons are great, but Russian Rhapsody is possibly my favorite...it's tough to beat singing gremlins beating the bejeezus out of Hitler.

I loved the "Russian Rhapsody" cartoon with its "Gremlins from the Kremlin" that looked like members of the old WB staff (Mr. Schlesinger, the guy with the funny hair, Chuck Jones, Bob Clampett, et. al.) I could still hear the gremlins' song playing in my head at work the next day.

"Blitz Wolf" was a hoot, too, with the Three Little Pigs (featuring "Sergeant Pork,") kicking the lupine butt of "Der Fewer (Der Better)." LOL funny!

I also liked how it explained the "Rejected 4-F" and the "A-Card" jokes to the modern audience.

Question: Do "Russian Rhapsody" and "Blitz Wolf" get shown at all on CN?

Russian Rhapsody used to be shown on an episode of The Bob Clampett Show which ran a couple of times, but that was it.

Blitz Wolf hasn't gotten any airtime.

I taped the special and convinced my history teacher to show it in class (my class is studying America in the WW2 era). My class loved it and they loved me because it meant a day of no work .
It was great to finally see these classics (even if a few of them were a mite disturbing). And, being Jewish, I LOVED seeing Hitler get his butt whupped by various WB stars!
