    Best Scooby-Doo Movie

    Like This Thread!
Just thought I'd put this poll up on which Scooby-Doo movie was the best. The TV Movies such as "The Boo Brothers", "The Reluctant Warewolf", and "The Ghoul School" don't count.

Tough call... Witch's Ghost and Zombie Island are both VERY good. I think Zombie Island comes out slightly ahead though...

Alien Invaders and Cyber Chase just seemed to me to be a bit too... um... goofy.
My origins have been clouded in mystery... some say that I was once a man, known as Hamato Yoshi. Another tale states that I was once merely a humble pet rat of a man named Hamato Yoshi. For the record allow me to state that both are true... and yet, neither is true. Such is the way of Ninjitsu.

    I'll say--

--"Zombie Island". The animation on the zombies was some of the creepiest--rotting flesh, jutting bones, vacant pus-filled eyes. Tim Curry's vocals on "Witch's Ghost" sold it, although the giant poultry was a bit much (shades of the Scooby movie with Jonathan Winters).

    Witch's Ghost.

I have to say Zombie Island. It introduced the idea of real ghosts (unless you want to count junk like 13 Ghosts or Ghoul School) and brought the gang back together. It also had the most interesting plot twists. I didn't become as interested in the following stories as I did for Zombie Island...the stories just seemed weaker and sometimes goofier as someone else said. Shaggy/Scooby falling in love wasn't too original, and neither was the video game thing that felt kind of like an ad for the coinciding Cyber Chase video game releases.

You must be thinking of those lamer-than-lame '80s films. These are the good ones. I like all of them, but for reasons given here, I have to give it to "Zombie Island". The tagline - "This time, the monsters are real." - says it all.
I feel that a big problem with today's society is that we don't listen to our fellow man -- especially when I'm talking.

Witch's Ghost. It had Tim Curry, and it showed the world that Jennifer Hale is WAY better as a singer than an actress. Zombie Island was close, and I was gonna give a vote to Alien Invaders simply because it was written by Lance Falk, and he's a nice guy. But I just enjoyed Witch's Ghost more.

    Zombie Island all the way!

Zombie Island is definitely the best. I think it was the first time that the "gang" finally had a case with real monsters, instead of lame criminals dressed up as one.

They definitely should make more movies like this, with good voice acting as this one.

By the way, is anyone waiting for the live-action Scooby-Doo movie? I just want to see how it goes, even though I know it will probably be too campy.

Honestly, even those who hate Scooby on principle should check out Zombie Island. I was sick of Scoob, yet I checked it out for the animation... and was absolutely thrilled. Velma, Fred and Daphne actually have personalities! They face a real threat, not just cretins in costumes! (Heck, they make fun of the series' past dependence on cretins in costomes!) Their walks have more than four frames of animation! Honestly, Zombie Island is just short of being a truly great flick.

The other direct-to-video adventures have been quite good as well, but none of them have quite come up to the greatness of the first... Witche's Ghost came close, but the obligatory "twist" seemed contrived.

I voted for the Witch's Ghost. I think it was because it was the first Scooby movie I enjoyed in a really long time. The animation was very good and the movie actually had a story line! Granted Zombie Island came first but I saw the Witch's Ghost before Zombie Island - so it gets my vote, altho they were both really, really good.

I voted for Zombie Island. It's great movie for those who are tired of the same old Scooby plot. The fact that most of the gang spend the movie thinking it's all a scam only to find the zombies are all VERY real is great
