Survivor 2: Yaffle Tribal Council

Yaffles, come on in...

Welcome, to yet another tribal council... the circumstances which bring us together tonight are most unusual... and, as with every tribal council, the game for one of you is just about to end...

Before we do that, lets talk for a little bit...

Baldy... You've had an eventful two weeks... lets look at last week... with the pick'em, you had the opportunity to greatly change the face of the tribe. Is there any particular reason that you only chose to steal away one of the Yaffles?

Bearpod... during the reward challenge last week, you stated that you didn't think the team wanted another player? How true is that, when you can look at the advantages a 7th person could have brought you guys... you'd have had an arm up on the other team, a new set of eyes, someone who had been free of all the inter-tribe politics that had been going around. To make a blanket statement such as that, not only dangerous, but seems not to well thought out, considering all that a 7th person could bring. Thoughts?

Mahou... how are things at your new tribe? It's different seeing you in Yaffle colors. How are you holding up?

Well now over looking what I said I think I meant mostly that I didnt want another player from the other team. Yes, a 7th player is a great advantage but when its from another team it might bite you in the back later...but I guess I was wrong on that because our new teammate is good for the team. Next time I'll think through ever statement I make here on this dangerous icey land...now to vote.

Since your every typo has been pointed out anyways, I'll save you some time. We can't steal away Yaffles, cause we ARE Yaffles.

Anyways, the reason I didn't 'shake things up' is trust. I didn't want to worry about if my teammates are loyal to us, or if they're keeping their ties with the Snollys. Plus, I already know that the four I picked work hard and are dedicated, so why mess with a good thing? As for losing Eddie G... No offense, but we gained a helluva lot more in Mahou than we lost in Eddie.

Question: If you dont vote (I did) what happens?

Is this like "vote or die" if you dont vote you get eliminated?

I'm thinking about the following for anyone who doesn't vote...

All the names get thrown into a hat, and then a random name is drawn and THAT person is thrown off the island... if you can't be bothered to vote in Tribal Council, why should you carry on in the game?

The questions are not meant to guage how you are going to vote at tribal... they are merely to create discussion (which they almost never do because players NEVER want to talk and interact with each other in the Tribal Setting...)

okay... so they partly do... but really, you should have your mind made up before you get here =P

It's basically the same as those 4 poor souls who met their end in week one.

If I don't know right off the bat when I come to Tribal who I'm voting for, I kinda have an idea of who I'm leaning towards. I take some time because if there are certain people who I think I might vote for around (or someone who thinks they're in danger of being voted out), I wanna see his or her argument for me not voting him/her.

Hey... whomever said you always need to think ahead... I'll tell you that's not true. You can get away with spontaneity once in awhile.

Not that I'm totally relying on that method of strategy, mind you.

Anyway...

Done. It's a cumulative vote for me... that's all I'm gonna say.

I think it's too soon to say at this point of the game, as I have spent just two weeks in my new tribe's camp and...I haven't really seen the tribe really at work, since this week's was for Individual Immunity. Sure...there was last week's, but that was just to gain one member and we had nothing to loose, since there was no Tribal (And according to BearPod here...we didn't want any new members, even if you consider the advantages).

As for what's going on....I know a lot of people have been saying a lot of trash talk against the Yaffles. Everyone's seen it in the Tribal Council and the challenges. Unfortunately, I might not see a change in the group. From last week, only a small number of the gang did it, but did not post the 2nd question for others to try. But, we had nothing to lose and we chose if we can gain something from it or nothing at all. That's why I said it's too soon to ask me this question. I need to see what this tribe can really do, and that's when it's a normal challenge...when you have a member at stake if you lose.

As for how I'm doing, I'm doing fine. I haven't seen much from the group though since I've only been there for two weeks plus an Individual Immunity challenge.

As for voting...I'm the same with Freedom Fighter here. I don't have an idea which member I want to vote out, but I have an idea on who I lean towards to. Then, I think about my decision, and when I'm sure of it, submit my vote. Unfortunately, the idea I use is bitting me in the butt right now. I usually base it on who helps the tribe out and does his/her share during the challenges. It's hard to use the idea now because I don't know who actually did the challenge, and it might not be fair to base it on last week's because I didn't see a lot of work going on plus we had nothing to lose, just something to gain...which we didn't.

I don't know if voting someone on random will work, because it might not be fair. To work hard for the team and help out a lot, then get kicked out while someone who doesn't help the team stays isn't fair and not that good.

Well, you guys had an easy time at tribal this week... tho, the votes still turn out to be rather surprising... Baldy, you need to stick around to pass along your immunity, the rest of you can head back to camp and bone up for next week's challenge...
