What is it with presidential candidates who don't have a chance thinking Pokemon references are going to save them? First Herman Cain and now this. That's the real guy who made the original theme.

Honestly....did any of you figure we'd be seeing politicians referencing Pokemon this specifically before we were all at least sixty? It's weird.

Bayformers abridged. Seeing it condensed like this actually makes the plot easier to follow.

I really doubt this is official, but it was a nice try.

Okay, it's not a nice try at all, it's a crummy bootleg. But it exists, anyway.

The existence of this really throws me for a loop: an official 17-minute cut of Alien. Really. 17 minutes.

It's that short because it was the version they sold not on VHS or Laserdisc, but on Super 8mm film. For one thing, I didn't know Super 8 projectors were ever capable of sound. For another thing, VHS, Beta and Laserdisc all existed by the time Alien was ready for home viewing, so why did they bother with a Super 8 version? For yet another thing....again....17 minutes? How do you squash a 2-hour film like this into 17 minutes??

I may never know. This is just the opening scene (a very condensed main title with a photo of the Nostromo) and the chestburster scene. The guy who uploaded this is trying to sell it bootleg, using the best broken English he can muster. He says it has "quite different ending," and this intrigues me most of all.

I seriously doubt there's a deleted ending out there, so I'm guessing they trimmed the movie by recutting some scenes to create a different resolution. Like maybe.....

*shot of Ripley running through smoky corridor*
    *shot of Alien going "RARR!"
    "THE END*

    *Ripley activates self-destruct sequence*
    *Entire ship instantly explodes*
    *THE END*

*Team attempts to use laser cutter on facehugger*
    *Entire ship instantly explodes*
    *THE END*

*Dallas gets up and accesses MUTHUR for the first time*
    *Entire ship instantly explodes*
    *THE END*

The bootlegger likely got it from this.

The Hawaii Five-O Syndication Pitch Reel -- for TV affiliates only. This is from 1981 and I remember Hawaii Five-O reruns airing in 1995. They kept this in circulation for quite a while.

Yeah, the studios released these up until the mid 80s. People liked to exhibit them in their homes. They used to advertise them in the back of old horror mags like Creepy and Eerie. Before it got VHS my school would also occasionally show us projected movies like this, Disney stuff mostly.

This is the funniest game glitch I've ever seen. The prompt to make him yell is only supposed to come up once, but not this time....

"Constant Payne," a pilot produced for Nickelodeon that never went to series. If it had, it would have been the first anime-influenced action series in the network's history. You know which one actually took that trophy four years later.

There's just no comparison; A:TLA is way better and smarter. The way she uses "totally" in every sentence is mucho annoying. I like the Johnny Quest-influenced intro, though.
