Edit: For the future, Lila, there's a "video" button where you paste the web address of a YouTube video....embedding works THAT way around here.

From about 2004 to 2007, Mills Corporation (a shopping mall company) had a kids' club called Muggsy's Meadow. Ray Nelson of Flying Rhino Junior High fame designed the club's four mascots (Muggsy Beaver, Carl Raccoon, Tred Possum and Lilly Spider), and his studio created a direct-to-DVD stranger awareness cartoon called "Get Muggsy!" Nelson wrote the script, did some of the animation and voiced Muggsy. I think it's pretty good.

What if Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince had been a zany romantic comedy? It'd probably look a little something like this.

That guy (Ray Nelson Jr) came to our elementary school one year, to visit with everyone in a giant assembly. This was way before Flying Rhino, but he had some children's books published that no one had heard of. Despite his obscurity at the time I remember the school completely kissing his can, dressing up every single hallway in gigantic laborious murals depicting his characters. The moral is if you're a struggling artist, the ultimate ego boost is to visit an elementary school.

So this popped up. It's a crossover between Looney Tunes and the Groovy Goolies (a 1970s Filmation series).

Needless to say, Filmation and Looney Tunes don't mix very well.

This is a pilot for a never picked up kids sketch comedy show called "Real Mature":

It's time for "Shannon, the Girl Who Drinks Gasoline."

For maximum hilarity, skip to five minutes in. She invites her friend over.

"Okay. You know that I eat newspaper."
    "Yes....I know....that you eat newspaper..."
"Well, I have something else to tell you."
    "What....is it?"
    "I also drink gasoline."

After a couple seconds of silence, the other girl says, with almost no expression or emotion in her voice:
    "Shannon....that's....so bad....for you."

I'd call the whole thing fake, but you can't script comedy like that.

Remember, TLC stands for "The Learning Channel."

I think the whole Strange Addictions show is fake. If you drank one pint of gasoline, you'd die. How can they get around that?

Animation these days has its ups and its downs, but at the very least, Filmation will never again be the only hiring studio.

I may be alone around here regarding this, but....I love looking at people's gigantic game collections.

That's just the overview: if you have a few weeks, he's actually reviewed ALL of these machines.

It's too bad gamer geeks usually don't have Hollywood-caliber voices. Except for James Rolfe's collection video, I've never heard one with a voice I could stand.

This last guy's voice isn't bad, but he's British. The accent takes the nasaliness off.

Here's a very rare piece of Disney animation. When The Rescuers Down Under played in theaters, the film was preceded by the Mickey Mouse short, "The Prince & The Pauper". And between them was a 10-minute intermission, which started with some new animation. Only the first couple of minutes of the intermission are in the video, but I've read the rest of the time was spent playing samples of Disney songs.
