And we probably won't get them for a LONG time (if ever)...

You know, if Nick gets rid of those Saturday afternoon Nicktoon marathons, they may be able to squeeze an ep of Zim here, but they're too dumb to see that...

I see ZIM on Nick's digital cable channel Nicktoons every once in a while. I think they keep changing the schedule, because the onscreen guide never corresponds to what is on the air at the time (I always see Ren & Stimpy listed, yet hardly see the show).

Yup, "The Most Horrible Xmas Ever" will be premiering at that time. If you read the news page, you'd know this, but here is the info straight from the release
Zim disguises himself as Santa Claus in order to woo adoring humans to their doom at the North Pole.
    Zim: Xmas is doomed!

    Gir: Hooray!
Yup. It's a signature. Go away if you're expecting something interesting here.

You know, I'm usually a happy-go-lucky-glass-half-full kind of guy, but I don't trust broadcast grids anymore than I trust my state's senators.

Yeah, I'll probably watch the Zim Christmas special, whatever it'll be called, but I'm still waiting for that Zim Halloween special to air.

Guess Nick feels that "Hey, let's throw those ZIM fans a bone or two. They haven't succumbed to the great Viacom mindmeld yet, and we're losing them fast. We owe it to them for dealing with our sudden scheduling of Super Duper Sumos instead of the Butt Ugly Martians and the other aliens on our so-called action block we hardly promote in prime-time and weekdays. Let's put on a holiday special!"

Schedules change, and nobody taught me that better than the geniuses at Cartoon Network that got rid of Batman: TAS on weekdays starting next week.

And removed Batman Beyond and Zoids Chaotic Century from Toonami a week after premiering.

And removed Rejected just days before it was scheduled to air.

And got rid of the Boomerang morning block after two weeks.

And removed Bugs and Daffy completely off the schedule.

    And . . .
What does the X stand for? It's definitely not Extreme. Extreme starts with E.

    Jeff, this is completely different.

Did Cartoon Network ever officially announce Rejected? No.

Did Cartoon Network ever officially announce Batman: TAS? No.

Did Cartoon Network ever officially announce the return of Boomerang? No.

Cartoon Network is free to tamper with whatever schedule they want, if it isn't so widely known that they wouldn't have control over it. That's how programming works.

The same applies to the Zim Halloween special. Nickelodeon NEVER ANNOUNCED the Zim Halloween special, and especially not a date. Someone found the date through Adlink, and then later it was removed.

The Zim Christmas special is an entirely different manner. Here we see Nickelodeon OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCING IT in a PRESS RELEASE. The first time Nickelodeon has mentioned Zim in a press release in nearly one and a half years (the last one mentioning Zim's slight increase in ratings over Spring 2001).

So it will air. I have good faith that it will air, because Nickelodeon's spent some money on fixing certain scenes and they're not going to put that money to waste.

Aw, ruin all my fun. You just won't let me be a cynic for a few minutes, will you?

Though I swear they did put out a press release with the announcement of the November Adult Swim specials in October . . .

Nope. They put out a press release with information on the new episodes of Home Movies, ATHF, Sealab, and Brak, but absolutely no information about the specials.

They only special they officially announced was The Groovenians.

You know, Nick has a way of making corny crossover commercial shorts (i.e the Nicktoons Summer Jam). Here's an idea that may get them to bring back Zim: why not a crossover with Zim and MIB?

K: Immigration, division 6. We've gotten reports of an illegal alien around here.

Zim: YOU LIE!!!!!!!!!!!.....I mean.....no.....I'm just a human wormbaby like everyone else. (slams door)

J: Who is this guy trying to kid?

Eh, I know it's bad. But hey, it's Nick.

Airing a Commerical for it a week before is not considered offical?

Is this for sure? What time? When?

I've looked at a website schedule of all anime on TV, and it has no mention of two Speed Racer episodes, at least not in November. Frankly I'm puzzled why Nick would be doing it, I heard they only translated half of the new Speed Racer episodes so far. Unless the other half hour will be from the original 1960s show.
