I heard that the devil incarnated into a sponge (Spongebob) was going to be on. Damn you Nickelodeon!*twitch*
Here's what TVGuide.com now has listed for Wednesday, Oct. 30th at 8:00 PM on Nick:
Adventures of Jimmy Neutron, Boy Genius: My Son, the Hamster; The Phantom of Retroland
I also searched for Invader Zim at the site and all that's listed are Sunday the 3rd and 10th of November. Those two episodes are likely to be replaced by sumos or something.

I was looking forward to this episode so much and now Nickelodeon crushes Zim again.
Nickelodeon can only hope that they air that episode on Wednesday or I'll moan even more.

My television guide doesn't have ZIM airing during the week.
Curses!!! There are many eps I haven't seen yet, including the Halloween & Christmas specials. I haven't seen the premiere episode either.

What THE HELL is Nick's problem? What do they have against ZIM? Is it because it doesn't feature sweetly cute characters?
It is because ZIM is actually funny?
Is it because ZIM was probably pulling in higher ratings that Rugrats or Farily Oddparents?
I haven't seen an animated series be treated so poorly since ABC cancelled Clerks after only one episode. (In Indiana it was at least. The second week, a special about the Indianapolis Fair aired in it's spot)
Actually, ZIM's ratings weren't all that great. Believe it or not, there are more gullible 8-year-olds in the world than Internet geeks. You may have noticed that, I'm sure.
(Yes, you heard me. Internet geeks. That's what ZIM pulled in, isn't it?)

Yet another "I hate Nickelodeon because they won't show ZIM" topic, I see. Oh well....
I hate Nick too!!

Actually, no. Invader Zim pulled in poor ratings for its demographic, which was in the 3-5 year old range. Which is to be expected, as I have not a clue what 3-5 year old on this planet would get Invader Zim. But thats the demographic that Nickelodeon decided to aim the show, so we have to live with the decision.
Well, yeah. Its not exactly like Nick is known for having such edgy cartoons as Invader Zim. The show just doesn't fit on their network. Frankly, it was doomed from its inception. I'm all but positive they received alot of flak for many episodes of the show. Which is why I think the Halloween Special isn't being shown. What THE HELL is Nick's problem? If its any consellation, there is some really great Invader Zim material at wormbaby.com .
Actually....yeah, it is. ZIM didn't do to well ratings wise....*shrug*....Originally posted by zarius

Tell that to Fox. Seems like Nick has been taking notes from them on when to air Halloween specials.Originally posted by Chris Sanders MSX

Actually, I heard ZIM did great in the ratings. It scored great with the 14+ demographic.
Unfortunately, that's not what Nick wants (despite their "waste-of-space" TEENick block). I knew from the start Invader Zim would get stuck in the same boat with Ren & Stimpy and Rocko. Nick doesn't like the 'toons they have that are ACTUALLY funny. Damn them to hell. >_<
"The advance is hip right now, but the original has a place in my heart, unlike pocket which only had the plastic grey, though color had killer appies for things like the sewing machine, not much use for virtual anymore, huh."
Hmm...I like Zim, but I am not P.Oed. I was expecting this. This is why on Wormbaby, I don't go on General Zimness anymore. Too many new people who can't type flame Nick. Hmm...this is why I find this place...RELAXING...
Wouldn't TV shows be funnier if the theme song was G Gundam's English Dub End Theme Song/ Japanese Dub Opening Theme Song?
This has been something to think about, with Orange Star. Make today...a GREAT day.
Let's get this straight, folks.
Nick is a kids network.
ZiM, as great as it is, was not attracting "kids".
They try to attract other demographics, but forget about ZiM.
Does this show Nick cares?
Best case scenario: the reruns go to the TNN block with Ren and Stimpy. Then a "real" ZiM audience will get to see it.
Worst case scenario: ZiM never shows up again, while Jimmy Neutron gets renewed instantaneously partially for being so exposed that kids are brainwashed to watch it. (note how I didn't mention Klasky-Csupo, because it looks like they are falling out somewhat with Nick)

The only thing I don't get about this buisness practice is that the point of TV Shows is really to get us to watch the comercials. Right ? As long as a show has an audience watching it who see those commercials and may buy those products it really shouldn't matter what demographic theya rein. And let's say Nick didn't think we'd buy those products why not just move up to the Teen Nick block which is basically targeting those audiences. If it pulls in an audience it pulls in advertisers.Actually, I heard ZIM did great in the ratings. It scored great with the 14+ demographic.
I think Nick has been in the buisness long enough to know something like this. So I think that either Zim didn't have good ratings at all or there's something deeper we just don't know about.

There's still the rumor that a similar thing happened to Vasquez that happened to John K., only with ZIM, Nick didn't bother to hire someone else to continue it. (Pity, since now TV's Frank is out of a writing job...)Originally posted by Chris Sanders MSX
