It was canceled in 1996 when its creator, Joe Murray, wanted to take a break from animation. He said he would come back soon with a whole new cartoon...we're still waiting.

Too bad all those reruns made it so boring, no wonder it left just a couple of years ago. As Steve said...

With Rocko in all reruns, the show got pushed to the wayside by the newer Nicktoons, before leaving Nick entirely.
At least Nicktoons TV still airs it regularly, even though some systems don't get it and it's only on Digital Cable (like iO here on Long Island).
I think Scooby-Doo is knida over-rated and all of the HB Dogs should be praised.
Wouldn't it be great if their could be more Peanuts specials on DVD?

Rocko, Zim and Real Monsters are my favorite Nicktoons (R&S being close in favoritism). Rocko probably being my all-time favorite. I think Wacky Deli was my favorite episode but I'm not sure. I really need Nicktoons TV.

Wacky Deli was my favorite episode, too. The way that the Wacky Deli show became more popular as it got more and more stupid reminds me of the current SpongeBob craze

I had Nicktoons TV for about two months, then my cable company dumped it for some reason (They shall soon recieve an irate letter from me). I'm currently recovering from a severe case of Pinky and the Brain withdrawl that nearly cost me my sanity

Nope. However, I pop up every so often at the alt.tv.nickelodeon newsgroup. You find it at Google here.

    Interesting analogy.

Do I remember "Rocko's Modern Life"?

"He's completely...naked." "With no clothes on!"..."Turtles and cats mixing together - that's not right!"..."Chewy Chicken is people! Chewy chicken is people!! Chewy chicken is people!!!" "Well, that's a relief."..."That's enough of that!"..."I am the cheese. I am the best character on the show. I am better than both the salami and the bologna combined!"..."It seems that even your best friend has ended up in that cavernous abdomen of yours. And you've got nine stomachs! He'll starve to death before he finds his way out of your...labyrinthine gut!"..."Yes, Granny Rocko."..."Supply and demand, Filburt. Supply and demand. People demand Big Man comics and we supply them. If you, Filburt, cannot supply Big Man comics, the system breaks down. Do you follow me, Filburt?!"

Let's just say that I remember some things. I love that show.
I feel that a big problem with today's society is that we don't listen to our fellow man -- especially when I'm talking.

Rocko was perhaps my favorite Nicktoon of all kind, it had so many funny jokes in it. Like all the ones with Ralph Big head (who was actually voiced by Rocko's creator.) or Dr. Hutchison, she was kinda attractive in a weird psycho kind of way (Filbert got her though.)

Are you sure it was voiced by his creator? That would mean his creator was Charlie Adler?

No that was Ed Bighead who was voiced by Adler. Ralph was his son, the cartoon guy.

Extra-interesting that you would compare wacky deli to spongebob...

that episode was written and produced after spongebob began production (if you remember, its creator formerly worked on rocko) and the wacky deli actually WAS meant to poke fun at the concept of spongebob, which rocko`s creator thought was a stupid idea for a show.

At least, thats what they say.
