I don't think I've ever given the show a fair shot, but I don't want to. I hate the character designs and something about the whole production looks so..... too proud of itself.

I can't begin to tell ya how embarassed I was at last year's Oscars that that movie got nominated for an Oscar. Or any of the nominees actually.
I don't think Hollywood could've picked a worse year to begin awarding cartoons. I mean... Iron Giant'll never get the recognition it deserves.
Anyway.... Jimmy Neutron.... does it suck as much as it looks like it does?

No, but it's not as good as Entertainment Weekly thinks it is, either.
Personally, it's all pretty generic to me. A bunch of smart aleck kids saying "cute" lines and getting into depthless hijinks...typical Disney-like ABC show for Nick. Okay, so there's a little bit sci-fi in there as well. Whee.

I never gave it chance either. To me it looks like a watered down version of Dexter. And judging from the comericals it looks stupid and Disneyish. The computer animation looks realy cheap. But then again computer animation is not my favorite. Another thing is ,Nick seems to gives more attention than the few good things they got going for them (Zim and The Fairly Oddparents)

The MAN is back
Well i saw the movie with my 5 and 4 year old nephews and it was actually good. I saw the "Pants" pilot and it wasn't that bad, not a must see, like Zim but it definetly doesn't suck.
I'm just a little bitter that Nick finances something like this, and Butt-Ugly martians that must be more expensive seeing as how they are full CGI , instead of letting Zim live on.

It struck me as a cheap ripoff of Dexter, and I too never gave it a chance.
I never saw the movie so I can't judge on that, but nick is just milking Jimmy for all he's worth (just like Rugrats). The show is ok but sooner or later it will get canned (but then again you never know).

I don't think Jimmy Neutron deserves the rep that it's getting - even before most of the series has been seen. I think that some of the character designs were pretty kewl and seemed to remind me of the Big Boy character. From what I've seen of the show it's pretty enjoyable - while it's not going to make you contemplate the sanctity of life I think that it'll be an enjoyable waste of half an hour - certainly beats the pants off of Butt Ugly Martains.

From the moment I saw the trailer, I never once gave it a chance. It's yet another thing Nickelodeon stole from Cartoon Network. It's a ripoff of Dexter, and it's not even a good one.
Being forced to see the movie, I liked one thing-- Cindy Vortex. She's a pretty cool character, and I was surprised to see a character with at least some depth in this one-dimensional nonsense thingy thing.
I feel bad for Patrick Stewart.

I saw the movie out of curiousity about two days ago...
It was OK, and I thought the alien designs were pretty neat, but other than that it was just so-so, a shrug your shoulders and say "meh" kind of movie.
I wasn't too moved by it, especially that teachers voice! Man, she was annoying.

Jimmy's not really a Dexter's Lab ripoff... he first appeared in 1995 with the name "Johnny Quasar", and was sold in either '97 or '98 to Nick, who decided to go with a movie first for some reason.
But I still think it's a crappy show.
