    Zim Cold Shouldered

    Like This Thread!
    Just thought I'd mention that once again, Nickelodeon cut Invader Zim in half to show some other cartoon. I'm not sure what it was, but I didn't watch it. Rant about how you hate Nickelodeon here:

    Was tonight's episode a new one? I was watching a hilarious comic on Comedy Central and forgot all about Zim.

    Get used to it. Nickelodeon's gonna be doing that all summer. They're ripping off Cartoon Network's ideas for the 176th time, and they're going to make a new cartoon based on which short gets the most ratings. They need some slot to put the shorts in, and it'll be okay if they cut the tremendously unpopular ZIM show in half, right? No one will notice.

    Anyway. The spectacular season 2 of ZIM starts in September, starting with the impossibly brilliant Backseat Drivers from Beyond the Stars, so there won't be any new episodes for a while. Don't bother with NICK for the time being, especially if you have a Neilsen box. There are better things on Comedy Central (who else loves CC Presents, and all the other stand-up shows? That show ROCKS so much...).

    I love Comedy Central Presents. The whole Friday Night Stand-up is great. Sometimes Premium Blend isn't that great though. It's the main reason I don't watch CCF or Nick on fridays.

    For me (and most others, I imagine), it would take a small (about 125 pages) book to effectively detail how Nickelodeon is deteriorating in quality and watchability, so let me just, briefly, give you some of my thoughts:

    They cancelled "Angry Beavers" before completing the show's full run...same thing with "Invader Zim"...they obtained the rights to WBA heavyweights "Pinky and the Brain" and "Animaniacs", smear the logo on the openings of both shows, make ludicrous edits and bury the shows in nothing timeslots...they leaned (obsessively) on the less-than-stellar programs from Klasky-Csupo...they smoosh the credits so people can't see the talented people who put the shows together...they bury a number of underrated gems (in addition to Zim, "Action League Now!" and "Pelswick")...they show marathon upon marathon of programs, using up space that could be used with said underrated gems...

    Needless to say, there's a multitude of factors; these are just the most obvious ones. Can anyone add to the discussion?
    I feel that a big problem with today's society is that we don't listen to our fellow man -- especially when I'm talking.

    Nick would have to actually kill the Pope to get me to dislike them more than I do now, (because of Zim and Micah, among other things) and even then I'm not Catholic, so maybe I might not be all that much more angry.
    If you guys haven't heard, the US Authorities on such things have announced that there's a meteor thats heading our way and is for the first time ever on the positive scale for meteors with chances to destroy Earth. I think it's due in like 17 years, and should, if it does in fact bring about the apocalypse, be named Nickelodeon.

    Why, tis no matter, man; if they did hear,
    They would not mark me, or if they did mark,
    They would not pity me, yet plead I must;

    It depends on the programming chimps at Nickelodeon. Sometimes it's on for an hour at noon, sometimes it's on at 1 PM, and sometimes it doesn't air on Sundays at all. From what I've seen nobody really knows for sure since Nickelodeon hasn't bothered to updated its schedule to reflect these changes.
