    The Fairly OddParents: Timvisible/That Old Black Magic Talkback (Spoilers)

    Like This Thread!
    If you have seen things like this before, you porbably already know it's where you make comments on episodes of TV series you have seen, mainly new episodes.

    Here, talk about tonight's episodes of The Fairly OddParents, Timvisible and That Old Black Magic.

    For the record, here are the only rules:

    1. Do not, and I repeat DO NOT, flame FOP in general. If you do not like the series, just trun back and post in another thread, or start some other one if you wish. I do not want to see any bashes against FOP in general here.

    2. All comments must be PG or lower. If you have any really, really bad things to say, use keys like #@!*$%&^ instead of curses or anything of that nature.

    3. If you have any spoiler notes, use the Spoiler button above the post box.

    Sorry if I am being harsh, but that's how I would like to see this post.
    I think Scooby-Doo is knida over-rated and all of the HB Dogs should be praised.
    Wouldn't it be great if their could be more Peanuts specials on DVD?

    Why, tis no matter, man; if they did hear,
    They would not mark me, or if they did mark,
    They would not pity me, yet plead I must;
    Therefore I tell my sorrows to the stones;

    • TITUS ANDRONICUS
    • Act 3, Scene 1

    As part of my extensive online cartoon research, I have jolted down some notes for tonight's episode:

    For Timvisible
    • That's Nickelodeon for ya; The Network where you can't say "dead" (concerning Hey Arnold! and As Told By Ginger, Nick does everything in their power to prevent the writers from putting down "dead" while still neglecting censorship on other frontiers) but you can show schoolboys cross-dressing.
    • Now here's a first, Cosmo and Wanda have taken on the shape of school children to hide their secret. However, they have disguised themselves as average humans in the past. In Transparents!, they have become adults to confront Mr. Crocker about "The Dinosaur" he brought for Show and Tell.
    • Speaking of Transparents!, we once again see Mr. Crocker blow Timmy's cover concerning Fairy Godparents.

    For That Old Black Magic
    • Here's a TV first; we get to see a literal emphasis of "Step on a crack, break your Mother's back" when Timmy cracks Mrs. Turner's back by stepping on cracks all over the park
    • Looks like Anti- may mean "Contradiction" (well, duh), as The Anti-Cosmo was supremely smart and the Anti-Wanda was a twit, not like the fairies that watch over Timmy.
    • We see more references in this episode...there is this guy who crazily throws salt around like Mr. Turner did with Cosmo in his Salt-Shaker form in The Same Game.
    I think Scooby-Doo is knida over-rated and all of the HB Dogs should be praised.

    Wanda turns into Bat-Fink in Timvisible. Not necessarily the superhero, but it's a Bat-Fink reference. She uses Batfink's super sonic radar to find Timmy, and much like Bat-Fink, the animation is recycled multiple times.

    I couldn't help but think Crocker looked a lot like an older version of Dexter's nemisis Mandark--with a hint of Prof. Dweeb in Ghostbusters. And I wonder just how dumb a bully has to be to break both hands and his face on a medallion.
    How did Timmy avoid being covered by flour from the burst bags and rendered visible in the kitchen?
    George W. Bush appears in "Black Magic"...really, the "dumb and childish" jokes are getting old, and I'm surprised Hartman stooped to that level.

    Those never get old IMO To paraphrase a line I heard about ol' "W" once, "JUst because there's a war going on doesn't mean he's any smarter than he was before."
    Yup. It's a signature. Go away if you're expecting something interesting here.
