Watch Invader Zim tonight at 9:30 EST for a new episode Abducted/The Sad, Sad Tale of Chickenfoot. I can't wait to see these tonight. We'll see the aliens that were once in the comic SQUEE and now they try to get Zim.
I was once called Patrick Star....a looooooong time ago.........then I needed a break.
I'd be happy if ANYONE remembered me!

Why, tis no matter, man; if they did hear,
They would not mark me, or if they did mark,
They would not pity me, yet plead I must;
Therefore I tell my sorrows to the stones;
- TITUS ANDRONICUS
- Act 3, Scene 1
Oh man they just get funnier and funnier. Chicken Foot, man what is there to say? "Lucky Neck meats" "Mass of Chickeny Evil" and the World Leaders laughing at Dib, "He's a little insane right now, he'll get over it." As promised more greatness from the Prof. Even saw a clip of Gir during the next Week's lineup commercial; Gir Goes Crazy and Stuff.
Squee and Gir and the Defensive mode.
God this show is funny.

These were both HILLARIOUS. Purple was funny in Abducted when he kept on saying HUH, HUH, HUH, etc. The alien with the green eyes was unbelievabously stupid. DUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. He was really funny. Then at the end Purple got back to saying HUH? This is one of my top faves now.
The Sad, Sad Tale of Chickenfoot was also very funny with the crazy guy thinking he was a chicken freak after a microwave oven accident. Then when he finally gets his costume off people begin to think other mysteries like Bigfoot, UFO's, and Hobos are fake. Very funny! Then it finished with the Krazy Taco guy having a microwave oven accident.

"Wait... they're tall AND stupid?"
My, my, my. That is to say, MY GOD was this a good episode. "Abducted" was my favorite of the two, just because of the chance to see some other characters from the "Jhonen Vasquez" universe in Zim. That, and the fact that they were both incredibly stupid helped too.
I was having trouble just comprehending the funniness of it, my mind blaked at the hilarity, never before has one half hour of television been as absured/dark/and/or/utterly/hilarious as tonights ep was.
I mentioned the Art and to me it was all Chickenfoot, the backgrounds and shading, in film it would totally be the lighting and mise en scene of the location, but man when Dib was dashing though the Apartment building, wheeehw, great.
Dib looked dead on for me as well, in a few eps he hasn't looked right to me, but this was right on; (Halloween Spectacular is my other fave redition of Dib)
Once again we had great soundtrackage. Nothing bad to say about this ep at all; it rocked major.
What was the line: "Gir remove your brilliant disguise and reveal your mighty robot form!"

Sorry, Nerium. The pic I got it from was from Matt Wilson's article about this ep last week. I wish I could've gotten a video to make a screencap from already... Maybe tomorrow. I hope.Originally posted by nerium_oleander

Sadly, for some odd reason, my cable company gives me Nickelodeon at the Pacific time schedule (I'm on the East Coast, mind you). So I won't get it for a few more hours.![]()
However, this explains why I thought Nick didn't show it last week, and I just discovered this tonight myself. I'll post my opinoins in a few hours.
Abducted/Chickenfoot is the best potatoes EVER! You shall LOVE it.

The wait is finally over, and it was worth it. I loved "Abducted", as it had some great Gir moments, and he's my favorite character in this show. His little action poses beore he got out of his dogsuit was hilarious, and I love it when he goes all "red" and gets serious. It's great.
While I enjoyed "Chinkenfoot", I can't say I enjoyed it was much as the first, as the episodes solely featuring Dib leave me a little cold. I'm not really sure why. But it's still soooooooooooo much better than just about anything out there.
I need to read JTHM and Squee, badly.
I Abducted, I was REALLY hoping to see some more little "memoriums" from their comic appearences. Like the time in Squee(I think?), when they abducted a man to test the results of human mating, but the "human female" was a chicken. I thought it woulda been nice to see a "man-chicken" walking around, or in a tube..or maybe had a short segment with a guy holding a chicken, walking out of a room...heh. Oh well...that was me. Either way...it sure was a great episode!
And the Chickenfoot episode was GREAT! I love Dib. Gee...Gaz sure has been getting the butt treatment lately...we needs to see more GAZ.....
LOVED IT LOVED IT LOVED IT!!!
I was hoping to see a few more alien specimens (because I just ADORE the creature designs of jhonen vasquez) but the poor little pink guy they did show was adorable! And was one of the two aliens voiced by the same guy who did pinky on pinky and the brain? Sure sounded like it.
As you can see in the opening credits (yes, I sometimes read those!) Chickenfoot was written by Roman Dirge, whom a few of you may know as the creator of the "Lenore" comic series and good friend of Jhonen`s! (Any word on the animated Lenore movie? Last I heard it was already in production after years of tossing it back and forth)

Both great episodes. It's very dissapointing that "The Man" is shutting the show down, beacuse i could see much more of Dib without Zim. Not that zim isn't cool, but the show will never unlock it's full potential. Shame.
If you get put in solitary, it ****ing sucks. I was put in there just because they had me in double-lock maximum security, and it's the most tedious ****ing thing. I can't think of anything more boring. There's a Japanimation cartoon I've been trying to watch on Cartoon Network called Witch Hunter Robin, and that's almost as boring.

"Chickenfoot, come back! You're not a freak, you're just stupid!"
Great episodes. I knew that Jhonen would do an episode with his stupid alien abductors at some point, and Abducted didn't disappoint. Zim got off light, by the way--you should see some of those alien's other "experiments!" Stupid question: what happened to their hoverchairs?
The Sad, Sad Tale of Chickenfoot was just bizarre. I do like that Dib gets some solo episodes, by the way. And, hey, another appearance by the Crazy Taco! "Must obey Taco Man!"
"You don't have the tools to defeat me."

Very quotable, too. "It's one of them orca whales." "You're not a freak, you're just stupid!"

Was anyone else thinking of Monty Python's Flying Circus during "Abducted"? Those aliens sounded right out of Eric Idle's mouth, esp. the female (I think) one.
Gaz has a small, nonspeaking role in this, but she says more with one raised eyebrow than many characters do in a paragraph of dialogue.
Very prejudiced of the elders to equate height with intelligence. "Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh?"
I started noticing for the first time the Prof. Membrane-looking bric-a-brac in "Chickenfoot" after it was mentioned in an earlier post. Does he create it himself or pay to have it custom-made? I kind of want a lamp that looks like me now. "You know, it's kinda hard to want to chase someone who smells that bad."
