Part 1 was pretty good, it was nice seeing the Speed Racer family work together as a family to stop evil. I liked X's reaction to his dad being back, it was understandable. I mean the guy just leaves for a stupid reason, why can't they just defeat evil together? Its not like there kids any more, on top of that he leaves without a word. People I think Speed might just be tied with Goku as worst father. Next weeks episode looks to be when the actual plot starts, new villains hopefully they'll be intresting. I do like how the dad just leaves when the villains are attacking great just great.

The J twins got away scott free, their luck reminds me of another duo with the first name J, only they have a talking cat with them. I think you all know who I am referring too. Hint it is anime. And I bet that will be what happen to them also with things are finally between the two villain teams.

Speed Sr., is he suppose to look Japanese, because he looks Japanese to me.

Well yeah, The other J duo I was referring to are normally not much better either (though they have improved greatly lately) As fo the J twins, they might become lackies to the next villain, or maybe the scare of going to jail might have scared them straight.

Probably had to change their plans a little since Peter Fernandez's death.

May be a box office failure, but the most faithful live action adapation I've ever seen. I just hope the animation is better. Atleast a bigger budget. Like you said, "3 years" man...

What an episode, something tells me Speed finding out more secrets about the Mach 6 will cause major trouble and put him and his friends lives in danger. If the preview for the next episode is any indication.

Those that just write off the J twins are comic relief buffons, maybe in the 3 months time jump they got smarter or more sinister behind our backs. I am pretty sure the "her" they were referring to is the shadow lady, and thus why in the next episode those Shadow goons are after Speed. I guess with Zile in jail, they needed some new puppets. Funny how I compared to Team Rocket, and now at the end they are acting like the new more serious Team Rocket.

Speaking of Zile, I guess they decided to keep him and his crew on the show, they are giving him the Emperior Pilief treatment. After being the main villain in the opening arc and be a real threat in the opening arc, become a comic relief villain for the rest of the series.

I still find it silly, that car racing and villains that want to rule the world plots don't mix. Everyone knows instead of car racing, they need to settle things with a children's card game. LOL Actully seeing Speed and X conversations on the race track, it is like Yushi and Jack. X and Jack are even more similar that they have a ton of fan girls.

I just watched the 2nd episode of Season 2 because I missed the 1st. I found it to be bad overall. The voices changed (Did the actors changed), the mood changed, the whole plot changed, and the fathers appearance changed. This has led me to the decision of not watching the show. Sure it has been 2 years but they could of done a little better.

So "The Return" is a three part episode, and Speed Sr. leaves at the end of part 1. So the character returned is gone already for the final two thirds? I agree with what someone said before Speed Sr. is making other noteable fathers look very good by comparissons, suddenly Van Hohenheim looks like a father of the year candidate.

What kills me is, him and Speed and X could have worked together to defeat these guys. Instead he leaves and puts his sons in danger again, way to go dad! No wonder X is so angry at his father, bet Speed will soon feel the same way and there will be conflict between friends.

So the Shadow organisation minipulate everything the way it did so the Mach 6 wouldn't qualify, well genious, it is small change worried about a little race.

I bet Chim Chim is in big trouble now. If they ever realise he has the evidence or with their seemingly unlimited resources, they will find out, the robot monkey is in big trouble.

No not like friends, like, like. You have to watch this episode to see what I mean, speficly look at the team unity montage. Though it is suttle for now. But that what it looks like to me.
