I just checked the schedule, and before Episode 59 today, they're going to play Episode 54 or something like that. I missed Episode 58 last week, and they haven't played a repeat of it since. I was hoping to catch it the next day, but we all know what happened then.
So does anybody know when Nicktoons will be airing Episode 58 again?
EDIT: Never trust the guide. They played Episode 58 today.

You know...after watching the cyborgs attack west city, I tend to realize Gero's whole reason for attacking goku and friends makes so little sense. Considering, it was Goku that defeated RR and his friends had nothing to do with the defeat of RR. And considering the entire reason why commander red wanted to get the dragon balls to begin with, he should be thanking goku to stop the facetious frivolity of Red's wish!
Seriously, wtf is up with these intentions of the evil people in DBZ? I mean some motives are paper thin...
But it aired so yay...but seriously wtf
Aside from Advisor Black though, did anyone else in the RR even know Red had actually been gathering the Dragonballs? And after Red's death Black had been planning on taking over leadership of the Army so someone incompetent wouldn't be in charge anymore, so assuming he had beaten Goku they actually would have gone for the whole world domination act for real.
Also, the post card crack just made me groan. This is why I've been finding the Kai dub more along the lines of that Yu Yu Hakusho or One Piece: it's mostly accurate, though they still dumb it down occasionally. Just not as bad as the original.
Timmy Turner (Tara Strong): In the future, there will be 500 TV channels.... but nothing to watch!
It sounds like a hilarious Y7 line. Maybe the original was: "We'll die before telling you that". Then somebody told the scriptwriter to make a more polite version for TV, and the scriptwriter got smart. If that turns out to be the case, I will laugh.
What I want to know is why, in the dub, did Goku still pretend like he knew who Dr. Gero was? His name was not uttered in the series up to that point. But when Trunks told Goku who was responsible for the Androids, Goku reacted like "oh him again?" Jacob, maybe you can chime in. In the original Japanese DBZ, did Goku act like he knew Gero?

Gero is a classic mad scientist with no regard for organic life. I figure the reason he was so cross was because Goku destroyed the best weapons that the Red Ribbon Army could muster; all of which were persumably designed by Gero. That was an unforgivable humiliation in Gero's eyes, to have all of his precious machines defeated by a thirteen-year old boy made only of "mere" flesh and bone. So of course in his twisted mind the good doctor's only solution to this was to create even more powerful living weapons that could not only kill Goku, but all life in the universe. Then Gero would show once and for all the superiority of his artificial humans over the original inferior models.
But yeah, it all really comes down to Gero being petty and evil.![]()

Popped in the last disc of Dragon Box Z Volume Three. Gokû never refers to Gero by name while speaking with Trunks. The only thing that does strike a chord with him is the mentioning of the Red Ribbon Army ("Red Ribbon Army?! You mean the same Red Ribbon army I wiped out?"). For all intents and purposes, Gokû never knew of the Gero before Trunks spoke of him.
Did Nicktoons edit the hand through Yamcha's stomach? And did they edit Goku's punch to Dr. Gero's face? I seem to recall in the original DBZ that there was a slo-mo shot of Dr. Gero's face recoiling from the punch.
No recoil, and no hand. It cuts to Goku rushing in to a hat falling on the floor. Then with Yamcha, it shows his pupils dilating and the screen turning a shade of blue. But the impalement happens off camera.

near and dear...ehhh considering they all wanted to kill each other and had no reason to work together except when the saiyans came...that seems off too...
I mean if Gero can make a robot maybe he could oh I dunno find something else better to entertain himself...just sayin...
Could totally believe that when Goku was still a kid. Even during the tenkaichi super battle - heck even ifI figure the reason he was so cross was because Goku destroyed the best weapons that the Red Ribbon Army could muster; all of which were persumably designed by Gero. Spoiler:
but all of this? What the crap? I got some more questions on this later you know when more episodes air. It's just what the crap...
Nah skip it
Next question
Destroy the world? So destroy the world == world domination? Does not compute...
couldn't he be just after the dragon balls after (insert villain's name here)
oh well. I guess this is where DBZ gets...really...really nonsensical. But at least Vegeta looks like he is begging for change in the next few eps (oh spare a dime, spare a nickel, spare a quarter) sound better to me
Oh Goku. Should have taken the heart medicine. Then you wouldn't be in this situation.
You're assuming Gero's plans were the same as that of the rest of the Red Ribbon Army. I really doubt that bitter old sociopath gave a crap about world domination. Commander Red was willing to give Gero the resources he needed to conduct his experiments, and that's all that mattered. Gero probably would have worked with Freiza too if he thought it would have benefitted him in any way.

I'll comment on this when more kai has occurred I won't be spoiling it yet
regardless...goku got totally owned...and fast...it actually was horrible to watch...meh well we see vegeta tomorrow
Uh what about #8. Besides the Andriods we're getting in this saga (I'm going by the original dub term for them even they are cyborgs/jinzoniengen or however you say that) he's the only canon andriod who I assume was made by Gero (well in the anime he's supposedly made by Dr. Frappe but hey DBZ Kai can ignore the filler from DB and DBZ right?). I think he was actually stronger then Goku but he didn't want to fight and ended up joining Goku to fight against General White. Andriod 8 is actually a common link to the andriods of this saga since it does indicate that there was someone who did create robotic powerful monstroties even stronger then Goku at the time. So obviously it makes sense he'd be able to come up with even stronger "andriods" after having studied Goku for so long and tried fixing the bugs that were wrong with his other andriods. From a DBZ Standpoint of logic anyway.Oriignally posted by Grenzer

Instead of just using this new signature to celebrate a thousand more post, let me list of all the great things you can expect of me on this board for 2012:
...... The same talkbacks you saw me do last year but with new episodes.
.... What are you doing still reading this? Move to the next post already! .
Did they edit something at the end of the episode?
