#116 “What Goes Around / Mask of the Raccoon”

• What Goes Around: A little girl is loses her favorite doll at the zoo, so Rico generously offers his as a replacement. According to Private, when you do a good deed, something good comes back to you in return. Rico can’t wait for his good deed to be repaid, but instead of a special treat for Rico, Officer X arrives. Now it’s a madcap race back to the safety of the zoo, before Animal Control traps the penguins permanently.

• Mask of the Raccoon: A mysterious bandit is stealing all the zoo animals’ beloved possessions. The penguins snap into action and catch the robber, who turns out to be a raccoon named Ze Archer. But when Ze Archer reveals that he’s actually taking from the zoo in order to give to the poor animals of the park, the penguins resolve to help him in his charitable quest.

First Repeat: Sunday, September 20, at 2:00 p.m.

Rico is awesome. I'm glad they're letting John DiMaggio truly make this character his own and it's nice that he's getting a lot more vocal with Rico. I found it weird that initially they got such an enjoyable voice actor for the character and barely let him talk. Kowalski is growing on me too. Jeff Bennett seems to be having a lot of fun with him.

And just as this show couldn't feel any more like a throwback to the Disney Afternoon age we get a two-faced Raccoon voiced by Rob Paulsen.

Both episodes were great! But, Mask of the Raccoon took the cake!

It was nice to see Officer X again. I didn’t expect him to show up so soon after his first appearance, but he’s a good antagonist for the penguins. However, aside from that, both of these segments seemed a bit too predictable. I guess, at times, the journey is actually more important than the destination; just because you know where the episode will end up doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy it. This wasn’t my favorite episode of “The Penguins Of Madagascar”, but it was fun and I did enjoy watching it.

Great episodes! could barely pay attention due to too much stuff going on at the house so ill have to watch them again later... from what i saw though ill have to agree with the above comment that they werent my ultimate favorites...
