    Rocko's Modern Life - Cruisin

Does anyone else feel that this was a brilliant episode? I watched it on my DVR last night and I never realized how great this episode is. Everything about it shows that despite it being a kids show, it had a good plot and some heartfelt moments. The scene where the the old dog tells Rocko about why old people are grumpy (loved one dying, forgotten memory, etc) was brilliant and is definitely a good example of how mature this show can be depsite it being a kids show. I actually think I'm gonna save this episode as opposed to deleting it.

I still remember when it first aired, I was quite surprised it was a double length short. Yes, Rocko had done double length previously ("I Have No Son", and later the excellent "Wacky Delly"), but it was a rarity for this show.

I agree it's one of the more "serious" episodes. Still quite funny at parts, but definitely bittersweet, with Rocko experiencing empathy for old people and the old people, now young, getting to have a second chance to be youthful.
Izzy Mandelbaum: How 'bout that, huh? The WORLD'S greatest dad. My son made it for me.
    Jerry: That's very nice.
Izzy Mandelbaum: The best in the world! Which means I'm better than just number one.
Jerry: Well, I don't know how official any of these rankings really are.

Yeah. I watched that episode awhile back and that scene was simply remarkable. I have seen a lot of animated programs over the years, but that scene was one of the best scenes that I have ever seen in any animated program.
