Any news on Avatar Book 2 Collection?

    Like This Thread!
I've been having my ears on the grapevine (ie keeping an eye on Tvshowsondvd.com) for the announcement for the Book 2 Vol 4 and Book 2 Complete collection. I'm thinking its only a matter of time, being so close to the release of Vol 3 for an announcementHas anyone heard any rumors on a release date?

According to an ad for Season 2 vol. 3, "Coming soon - Avatar book 2, vol. 4 DVD available August 14!" But no word on whether it will come out with the complete second season. They may be releasing them at different times this year; if not, there's your release date.

I predict when they release the complete season set, around that time season 3 will start. If the complete Book 2 set is released on August 14th, I think season 3 would probably start on August 24th.

I have a feeling the full Season Two set will only be coming around In September when Season Three starts (hopefully it won't delayed any further then that). That would be different then last time when they released the last disc of Season One and the Season one DVD on the same day but maybe they realized that was a dumb thing to do and decided to make up by realizing them at different times and such.
Instead of just using this new signature to celebrate a thousand more post, let me list of all the great things you can expect of me on this board for 2012:

...... The same talkbacks you saw me do last year but with new episodes.

.... What are you doing still reading this? Move to the next post already! .

Eh, as long as we get complete seasons in DVD format, I could care less how long it takes until Season 3 comes out.

I just want them to make Book 2, Vol 4 available for preorder.

The Book 1 boxed set was released September of last year. We might get it again in September.

But is says nothing about the complete season 2. Looks like different release dates this year.

Would you just look at that cover...(image courtesy of AvatarSpirit.net)

Is it just me, or have the Book 2 covers been that much more intense than the Book 1 covers? I'm disappointed that Long Feng didn't make a cover appearance, but I'm glad Zuko's made it at least once this season...and Iroh! And angry, frayed Aang more than makes up for Long Feng's absence.

What is up with that mouth?

Anyway, I think part of the reason why Nick's concentrating the episodes into four volumes is to prevent a repeat of last time, when the last volume and the season boxset were released at the same time. I've a feeling they affected each others' sales, so now Nick's making more staggered releases, trying to keep the DVDs on their own so they can sell on their own merits rather than overshadow each other. Which makes September most likely for the season set to be released...handy if it accompanies the Book 3 premiere.

It's a sensible business move on Nick's part.

Eh... Long Feng...isn't that interesting to me. I'd prefer Mai or Ty Lee get a cover before he should ever get one. I will say, though, it'd be nice to have some Dai Li off in the background of this one looking scary. I'm glad Iroh finally made one of these covers. I was concerned that he would be completely overlooked.

Keep it on topic, please. This thread is about Avatar (specifically the DVDs), not Invader Zim.

I'm actually curious as to where he got the '89%' figure from. I'm not sure that many people stayed on. But you're right, this is a matter for another thread.

Now we know what all the covers look like, would anyone care to speculate what the season boxset cover will be?
