First episode I've watched. Eh, I like Kappa Mikey better. It seems to mimic/parody anime much better, and much more frequently. Shuriken School seems half-hearted in its effort to do this, so that if you took away the anime face vaults and action lines, it would be a very average-looking show. Humor doesn't really work, either, and feels geared too young.
One thing I do like about it, though, is that the school setting atleast looks unique. Since it's more like a dojo, that automatically puts it above the super generic "suburban middle school" look of sooooo many other school-based shows.
