Here's a poll for everyone: what was the biggest mistake that Nickelodeon made in 2001?

Allow me to explain some of the options:

1st: "The Angry Beavers", one of Nick's best shows, just disappeared from the channel.

5th: In the wake of Sept. 11th (I presume), Nick pulled an "Invader Zim" episode from air. All it did was mention the FBI...in a warning on a videotape.

6th: "Rocko's Modern Life" and "Aaaah! Real Monsters" returned to the networks in the 6am hour. To some, this is a minor quibble, but for fans of the show who treasure sleep just as much, if not more, this is awful.

I didn't see an option for "EVERYTHING", so I just picked "OTHER".

I picked "Other" as in "All of the above". Everything that happened has been bad, it just keeps geting worse too.

Definitely when it turned into a MTV clone. I can't even watch the network anymore. I also agree with OVK, Nickelodeon made so many errors in the past two years, it's unbelievable. They're all into fads now.

While I agree that Nick made... well... a TON of bone-headed blunders last year, I want to personally point a finger of blame (guess which one... ) at Klasky-Csupo.
Those little blankety-blanks have thus far unleashed... Rugrats, the one show Nick is keeping in production, when it should have been put down when David Boyle passed away. Actually, it stank like day-old diadies for years before that, but it makes a handy point of reference (with apologies to the Boyle family...)
The Wild Thornberrys. If I never hear Eliza's neo-fascistic eco-babble again, it would still be too soon. And don't get me started on that blankety-blank Debbie...
Rocket Power. [Barf ON] Sorry, I retch just thinking of... [Barf ON again] Somebody get me a towel.
Aaand, Ginger. A toon named after the weakest of the Gilligan's Island Castaways, but with a character not nearly as developed as her namesake's.
Sigh... Is anyone at Nick even listening? Paging Albie Hecht...

Not exactly "everything".....is there a vote for two or more?

    Well, I'll put them here:

    "We're Animaniacs...and the opening's been sacked!"

"We (rudely) interrupt this program to bring you Jimmy Neutron". That's what I put my vote under, because it just upsets me the most. I'm not exactly the biggest Rugrats fan, but when that stupid big-haired brat comes in and turns the entire screen yellow....

    Okkay, all of them.
And besides, most people look at this type of topic unrealistically. They are all under the apparent misconception tha--oh, wait. Is my post over? Ah, okay.

    I miss the Beavers

I voted for the yanking of "The Angry Beavers." That was a hilarious show. It mirrored my home life so eerily that started looking for cameras. I'm the elder, and what my sister does....pass the Ritalin! There were inside jokes everywhere. If you slowed down the submarine ep, you could see them plow through the Titanic and Jack and Rose's skeletons that were perched on the bow. I cheered for that one.

That was the only cartoon worth watching on Nick for me. It's still runnning in Britain, I believe. We got the fourth season, then they yanked it. Anybody know where to get a copy of the fifth season?

Nick is going for the money makers, like Rugrats. Anything aimed at an older set doesn't make as much. Little kids nag til they turn blue to see a 'rats movie. This bites. Majorly.

What about that whole Crimson Chin adventure they have going on Nick.com. I have this nagging feeling that they had to force the Fairly Odd parents staff into doing this.

Yeah, I thought I heard a whip cracking in the background of those Crimson Chin eps... The FO ep with the Chin was a LOT better than that dreck, even with Jay Leno.
Still, that's not nearly as bad as another "all-new" season of All That's warmed-over jokes or Linda "I used to be a real reporter... Really!" Ellerbee's shrill Nick News.

Nickelodian sucks now IMO...they lost all of the shows I used to watch (like Angry Beavers, Doug, Real Monsters, and Rocko). I haven't watched anything on that channel in forever...

Nick started to die out when Stick Stickley left. From then on out, things got worse and worse until we have the hulk that looms over cable today. There's too much Klasky-Csupo and the whole network is a drag. There's nothing for kids on it outside of Nick Jr., and everything is geared at the most irritating type of person in the unvierse: the teenager.

I had to go with other....no "all of the above" choice....

::kicks Nickelodeon for taking away Angry Beavers and screwing up Zim::

    .......I'm still mad......

::uses a flamethrower on the studios for Jimmy Neutron and the crappy music videos::

Do I really have to pick only one? I suppose I'll vote the brutality done to the Animaniacs opening. Everytime I get a chance to watch it, I still cry in frustrative anger over what they done to it.

I also picked others for all of the above. I think the only thing that's keeping this network alive to teenagers is Spongebob and Invader Zim. Teenick is so stupid, that's not how we teenagers act. And their comedy and songs in Teenick is horrible. It would be great to have the old Nick back, but as they say, "All good things come to an end" and I guess that was a while ago.
I was once called Patrick Star....a looooooong time ago.........then I needed a break.

I'd be happy if ANYONE remembered me!
