Nick Talkback: Sanjay & Craig "Fart Baby / Kung Fu Catapult"
#111 - Fart Baby / Kung Fu Catapult (premieres this morning at 10:30AM ET on Nickelodeon)
Fart Baby: Sanjay and Craig are the proud parents of a baby fart.
Kung Fu Catapult: Sanjay and Craig agree to rid Tufflips' trailer of ghosts in return for a catapult.
Funny material from SJC as usual. Both episodes made me laugh. Though, unfortunately, nothing about these episodes really stands out. Not nearly as good as some of the recent episodes. I'd give em both 8/10. IMO these are some of the weakest episodes of SJC since the premiere. Still, funny episodes nonetheless.
Yeah - this show, no... just about any cartoon that does it is at its best when the grossout humor isn't so easily distracting, which is what especially hurts the first segment for me and how the ending to the second segment plays out - I can see why people hate this show, sadly - but I'd still take it over those you-know-what-by-now...

I actually found the first segment pretty funny. Didn't Ren and Stimpy do something like this before, where Stimpy grew attached to his fart?
I liked the first segment. It had funny metaphors, stuff that sneaked past the radar and a the ending was so ridiculous it was hilarious. Unfortunately I can see how some people can get turned away by this kind of humor. The ending to the second episode was also just that way but it was pretty clever.
I'm one of those people, the first segment wasn't that good for me because of the gross humor. I only liked some of the ending because they had to went for more gross humor when Noodman popped the sphere The second segment was better. The tropical food fight concept and the props in the haunted trailer was interesting. I also liked the ending of that segment. Jim Dirschberger said on his tumblr page that Kung Fu Catapult was originally the pilot for Sanjay and Craig. He also said that this episode's story was slightly changed and that the art direction of the show was completely changed after the pilot. Sean Szeles storyboarded the pilot and that's why he is credited as a writer and storyboard director for this episode. His only other credit is a writer's credit for the theme song lyrics(I don't know if he boarded the visuals that go with the theme song).

I liked the Fart Baby segment better than Kung Fu Catapalt segment.
